A Whole Lot of Remembering’s

Did you know that the word remember is mentioned 230 times in the NKJV? Neither did I! That’s a whole lot of remembering for sure! Yet I felt the Lord had me go down this trail for a reason so I hopped over to get the definition of the word and this is what I found; To retain in the memory; keep in mind; remain aware of; to retain in the memory; keep in mind; remain aware of.

So many of the old testament verses I found, began with, “And you shall remember,” as if the recollection of what God did would be a reminder of WHO God is. I’m thinking that there’s something to this. Even before the words were written about God, they were told and retold, generation after generation, so they would hearken diligently to His voice. That the Great Deliverer always made good on His promises.

Why is it that we choose to remember the wrong things? We remember all the unanswered prayers and think that God just doesn’t care, when in reality it is us who has forgotten He’s a good God, full of love and tender mercies. We must remember that although the rain falls on the just and unjust, we have promises to remember. He’s a refuge in time of storm, and gives a peace only accessible in His presence. We make our own paths and want our own way, until we’re in a desperate situation and then we cry out to God to save us, heal us and provide for us.

I will constantly keep reminding God of what He’s promised me. I know He hasn’t forgotten me, but I need to remind myself and build my faith and that’s what reminding does. Reminding myself that He watches over His Word, it never returns to Him without doing what He sent it to do. I read the stories of old because God is looking to see if I will trust Him that much too. I’m His, therefore I will remember. What is it you need to remind God of? Are you going to focus on the problems you face or what the Word says about those problems.

Luke 18:2-8 tells a story of a woman who constantly went before the judge to plead her case, she wore him down by daily taking her case before him. “For a while the judge refused to do anything. But then he thought, ‘This widow really annoys me. Although I don’t fear God or respect people, I’ll have to give her justice. Otherwise, she’ll keep coming to me until she wears me out.’”

This was Jesus’ response to this in teaching us a lesson found in verses 6-8; “Pay attention to what the dishonest judge thought. Won’t God give his chosen people justice when they cry out to him for help day and night? Is he slow to help them? I can guarantee that he will give them justice quickly. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word. I have to speak it. I have to remind myself and trust in God, because in doing that, I keep discouragement at bay and build my faith. You’ve heard the old saying, ‘The squeaky wheel gets the grease?’ Well, start squeaking! Gods standing with his big ole can of WD-40 just waiting to spray you down with blessings. Today is your day!

Father, I choose to remember You are good, all the time and all the time, You are good. I’m excited for what You have in store for me just because You love me and know that I trust in You. You won’t leave me without an answer because Jesus is my answer. I trust in Your sacrifice. I trust in Your grace. I trust that Your plans are better than I could ever imagine. In the process of waiting, I will continue to do what I know to do, encourage others, pray for others, focus on You and listen to Your voice. It’s in Jesus mighty and holy name I pray, Amen.

Until Next Time–Remember,

Remember Your Blessing

So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always. Philippians 4:8 TPT

I was talking with a young lady last night who was dealing with all sorts of self doubt and anxious thoughts. After a few minutes, she mentioned this verse and said, “I know! I need to think right thoughts.” But hey, that’s not always easy, is it? It’s easy to say it to someone, but when you’re going through something that consumes your focus, it’s not as easy to snap your fingers and just do it.

As the conversation continued, I remembered something she told me about last year. She had developed a habit of writing down her blessings and putting them in a jar called, ‘the blessing jar’. Whenever she faced a trial or a need, she would pull out a paper and read it, reminding herself of how God had provided for her at that time. I suggested she do the same with her self-worth. Write down what the Father says about her and when she’s facing these thoughts, pull it out and read it out loud.

You see, when you’re in the middle of a trial, it’s not always the first thing you think on because you’re too focused on the trial. We’ve all heard the saying, what you feed grows, but what you starve, dies. It’s the same with your thoughts. That’s why Paul mentioned this in his writings to the Philippians. Keep your thoughts focused on right things and then he tells you what those right things are.

So write down your answers to the accusations of the enemy so that when you’re facing your giant, it won’t intimidate you anymore. When he says, “You can’t do anything right.” Respond with, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” When he says, “You will never win over that addiction!” Remind him, “I’m redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. I have covenant with Him and His strength is made perfect in my weakness.”

Some of those notes need to read, “I am a child of God’s and He loves me!” “He said He will never leave me nor forsake me. He lives in me!” “He’s given me power over all the power of the enemy and nothing will by any means hurt me.” “No weapon formed against me will prosper and every tongue that rises against me in judgement, He will condemn because it’s my heritage!” “He took those stripes on His back for my healing. Sickness and disease is under the curse and because of Jesus, I don’t have to have this anymore!” “My steps are ordered by the Lord and He delights in the plans He has for me!”

Stop allowing the devil to intimidate and bully you into believing a lie. Know who you are and Who you belong to. Stand up and fight back against his lies and remind him he’s defeated! He may not leave instantly, but if you keep on speaking the Word to him, he’ll pack up and leave until a later date and try again. Be relentless in your resistance and he will flee. Be totally convinced of the power you possess and don’t be afraid to use it.

I’m More Than a Conquerer,

The Rock That Shelters

“Do not fear nor be shaken! Haven’t I foretold it, announcing it to you ahead of time? You are my witnesses, so tell me, is there any god besides me? There is no other Rock of shelter; I know not one.” Isaiah 44:8 TPT

I’m really enjoying going through Isaiah again. I love how God keeps revealing Himself over and over and over. In this verse, we see Him as the Rock of shelter. I always think about a rock as being a sure foundation, but did you know that a rock can shelter as well? It really does.

I remember being on the mountain that stood next to the small village we lived in when our family moved to Haiti. If my memory serves me correctly, my sisters and I made the journey with our cousin Becky and her friend, Colleen. When we arrived, the wind began blowing in waves and cycles, the rain came down the same. We didn’t know it at the time, but a hurricane was passing by. To keep from being blown away, we took refuge in a cave formed out of the rocks. In the morning, we made our way back down to our house, safe and sound.

Nothing to fear when God is near. If you look, you’ll find He’s already declared the end from the beginning and we win! It doesn’t mean there won’t be a battle to fight. It doesn’t mean we won’t carry scars we’ve picked up in those battles, but He is always faithful to His Word. He won’t leave us or forsake us. Just because we don’t understand doesn’t mean He’s not still working. He’s our Rock and rocks aren’t easily moved!

So if you find yourself in a storm and the wind is blowing ferociously, hide behind the Rock for He will protect you from the storm. If your enemies are pursing you, plant yourself behind the Rock, He will hide you there so that no one can find you. If the water is rising and your peace is being threatened, climb onto the Rock and go to His highest point, for He will keep you from drowning.

Whatever you need Him to be, He is. Let He who forever is, be who you forever need.

Gods Big Eraser

I, yes I, am the One and Only, who completely erases your sins, never to be seen again. I will not remember them again.
Freely I do this because of who I am! Isaiah 43:25 TPT

Have you ever screwed up? Made a mistake that you were ashamed of? I have—once or twice! I don’t know of anyone who hasn’t at some point in time, felt like a failure. What I want you to know beyond a shadow of a doubt, is this fact written in the scripture above: What God erases is gone forever!

With us, there’s always residual left behind. Memories that Satan constantly brings up and hurls at us like fiery darts. But let’s not forget what God said and take those darts and hurl them back! “I’m forgiven! A blood bought child of God and you cannot, under any circumstances, take that away from me!” No matter how many times you must do it, continue to do it and don’t allow the enemy to take what is rightfully yours.

And if you’re a recipient of that great forgiveness, extend it to others. What you’ve freely received, freely give. Jesus was asked, “How many times must we forgive?” and His reply was the never-ending 70 x 7. Keep on forgiving. Doesn’t mean they have to be an intimate friend or even in your surroundings, but forgive none-the-less.

If you want to be more like Father, forgive like that. You focus on Him and allow His forgiveness to wash over you, then let that forgiveness spill over onto others. It’s the gift that keeps giving. Ask God if you can use His big eraser and try it out. It’s liberating when you don’t have to keep track of what others have done to you. You simply let it go. Love indeed covers a multitude of sin.

Choose to Erase,

Sandy G

You, Yes You!

Yahweh says, “You are my witnesses, my chosen servants. I chose you in order that you would know me intimately, believe me always, and fully understand that I am the only God. There was no god before me, and there will be no other god after me. I, only I, am Yahweh, and there is no Savior-God but me. I am the only one who revealed this to you. I saved you, foretold the future, and brought it to pass. It was not some foreign god who did this! You are my witnesses that I am God,” declares Yahweh. “From the very beginning, I am the only God! No one can be snatched from my hand. When I choose to act, who can reverse it?” Isaiah 43:10-13 TPT

I like to personalize what I read. Some may think it’s taking scripture out of context, but I believe that all scripture was given to edify the body, by story or by verse. It’s how I’ve been able to convince my spirit of it’s value. You see, although this verse was speaking of the Jews, I’ve been adopted by the blood of Jesus, therefore, this is about me and you.

Let’s begin by saying, He chose you and I to know Him intimately. That is highly personal and deeply private, reserved for one on one time with God. It’s not a group setting, it’s me and Him, alone time. It’s what I call ‘cuddle’ time, where I lay my head on His lap and love on Him, telling Him how thankful I am that He always watches over me and cares for me. This is where I’ve learned to know Him, in the secret place of His presence.

He said to believe Him always. When He says something, it’s settled in Heaven and on earth. We say, “Seeing is believing!” but He says, “Believing is seeing!” It goes against the grain of human thinking into the realm of God mindedness. Sitting in His presence daily, enables me to have the ‘child-like’ faith needed to believe Him always. I am His child, His daughter, and if I want to be like Him, I must know Him. I can’t believe someone I don’t know!

The last point I wish to make this morning is that He is the only God and we are His witnesses. The very fact that we’re alive and breathing is enough for me, but let’s just reflect for a moment. Creator of all the universe, the world we live in and every human being, animal, fish in the sea and birds in the air. He did all that. He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for our sin just so that we could sit with Him and become intimately aquatinted with Him just as He did with Adam and Eve in the Garden.

“From the very beginning, I am the only God! No one can be snatched from my hand. When I choose to act, who can reverse it?” That’s my Father! That’s your Father! I won’t make excuses for how He chooses to do what He does, I will trust Him. My tiny mind will never figure out what He has in store for me, but I know it’s big, because He is big. He told me a long time ago that if I knew what He had planned for me, it would blow my mind. That excites me! It should excite you too! For He is no respecter of persons and what He does for one, He will do for all who are intimate believers.

Mind Blown,

Sandy G

Keys That Unlock Treasure

Here are kingdom revelations, words to live by, and words of wisdom given to empower you to reign in life, written as proverbs by Israel’s King Solomon, David’s son.
Within these sayings will be found the revelation of wisdom and the impartation of spiritual understanding. Use them as keys to unlock the treasures of true knowledge. Those who cling to these words will receive discipline to demonstrate wisdom in every relationship and to choose what is right and just and fair. These proverbs will give you great skill to teach the immature and make them wise, to give youth the understanding of their design and destiny.
For the wise, these proverbs will make you even wiser, and for those with discernment, you will be able to acquire brilliant strategies for leadership. These kingdom revelations will break open your understanding to unveil the deeper meaning of parables,
poetic riddles, and epigrams, and to unravel the words and enigmas of the wise.
How then does a man gain the essence of wisdom? We cross the threshold of true knowledge when we live in obedient devotion to God. Stubborn know-it-alls will never stop to do this, for they scorn true wisdom and knowledge. Proverbs 1:1-7 TPT

I realize this is a lot of scripture this morning, however I felt that it was important to God for us to read and meditate on this today and on into the weekend. I would love it if every senator and house representative would read through this entire book prior to making decisions. Even those holding the highest office of the land could benefit from King Solomon’s words prior to making ungodly decisions that go against not just God’s Word, but moral principles as well.

I may not be able to do anything about others, but I can surely learn for myself. To walk in wisdom and discernment in the everyday choices I make to be obedient to God, and live for God in the role of Ambassador for His Kingdom and glory. Yes, that’s right. We are His ambassadors in this world, demonstrating the way He does things in Heaven, on the earth.

It’s only when we understand who we are and whose we are, can we walk in the signs, wonders and miracles He intended for us to walk in. To discern when someone is under demonic influence and cast that evil spirit out. To lay hands on the terminally ill, knowing that there is no sickness or disease in heaven and that’s how God intends for us to live in the earth. To not just read Psalm 91 as a beautiful Psalm, but as a covenant promise of protection and provision.

It’s time we allow the Word in us to become the Force He was intended to be. To see that we are vessels for Him to display His glory and majesty to the whole world. We must stop limiting Him based on our perception of us. We are His, not our own. We’ve been bought with a great and precious price, the blood of God’s own Son, Jesus Christ.

But you are God’s chosen treasure—priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world.  For at one time you were not God’s people, but now you are. At one time you knew nothing of God’s mercy, because you hadn’t received it yet, but now you are drenched with it! 1 Peter 2:9-10 TPT

Let’s Do Some Damage

Deep within me are these lovesick longings, desires and daydreams of living in union with you. When I’m near you my heart and my soul will sing and worship with my joyful songs of you, my true source and spring of life! Psalm 84:2 TPT

I was reminded yesterday of the power my worship has, especially when I don’t ‘feel’ like it. Kat Kerr said that it hurls missiles at the enemies kingdom, wrecking havoc and damages that satan is constantly trying to repair. When I heard that, I realized that was why distractions come. When we’re ‘busy’ looking at the natural realm and fearing what’s going on around us, we’re not trusting God for the outcome He desires.

Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God and you will be secure, feasting on his faithfulness. Psalm 37:3

This is where I want to be, rooted and grounded in the foundation of God’s promises. If my faith grows from this place, nothing will shake me and His praise will continually be in my mouth and my heart. Praise Your Mighty and Powerful Name! There is absolutely no one in all the earth that can compare to Your Great Name! Hallelujah! I join with the angels as they cry out before Your throne, “Holy! Holy! Holy!”

“Oh but Sandy, don’t you listen to the news? Don’t you know what’s going on?” The only news I listen to is the Good News and the only real things going on are the makings of signs, wonders and miracles. Let God be God and every man a liar! Every day, people are coming to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Focus on that! More and more people are being delivered from addictions. Thousands are being filled with the Holy Spirit and power. God’s Word is still changing situations and circumstances. Even with no jobs, God is providing for His people. He’s still the same God who brought His people out of Egypt into the Promised Land, the same Yesterday, Today and Forever!

Unchanging God. He’s not bothered by who’s in the White House! He reigns supreme over that house and our house. People can snub their nose at Him but He will show them who is truly in control. HE IS! Keep your eyes on Him and worship Him. Don’t let the atmospheric changes bother you. God has a plan and you’re a part of it! Worship Him.

Can I give you a word of advice today? If what you see around you angers you, frustrates you and makes you want to hurt someone, worship. Do damage that will be felt by the demons who are seeking to do you harm and control the narrative. Worship like your hairs on fire. Worship until you run out of words and all that comes out is the babble of unknown tongues. If all you can say is HOLY! Say it until the heavens shake with angel applause.

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! Praise God in his holy sanctuary!
Praise him in his stronghold in the sky!
Praise him for his miracles of might!
Praise him for his magnificent greatness!
Praise him with the trumpets blasting!
Praise him with piano and guitar!
Praise him with drums and dancing!
Praise him with the loud, resounding clash of cymbals!
Praise him with every instrument you can find!
Let everyone everywhere join in the crescendo
of ecstatic praise to Yahweh!
Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! Psalm 150 TPT

Doing Some Damage Today,

Run With Passion

I admit that I haven’t yet acquired the absolute fullness that I’m pursuing, but I run with passion into his abundance so that I may reach the purpose that Jesus Christ has called me to fulfill and wants me to discover. I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead. I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus. Philippians 3:12-14 TPT

I typically don’t run unless someone is chasing me, however I know several people who run because they’re passionate about running. As I read this, I heard this question; What are you passionate about and are you pursuing it?

I didn’t have to think long about this because my passion is God and His Word and knowing Him deeply and intimately. There’s nothing that drives me like God. I’m constantly seeking for treasure and rejoicing when I find it. One word from Him gives me a rush of excitement and a desire to share it.

As Paul said above, I haven’t acquired, or amassed the riches of His glory, but I’m well on my way. I’m farther along than I was. As my daddy would say, “Leaves a more taste in my mouth!” I just can’t stop running, I can’t get enough of His presence.

How about you my dear friends? Are you a runner or an observer? He’s given us all a ‘divine invitation’ to participate in this glorious pursuit. You will always talk about what you’re passionate about, so what are you talking about? Every other passion you have, will be birthed out of your deepest passion. Don’t ever flip them around and place them higher then your pursuit of God.

Sweet Father, I’m calling out to You this morning to ignite the passion in the hearts of Your people. Those who know of You, may they burn with a new desire to know You more. Those who’ve lost their light, set them on fire. Give them a peek of what awaits them. May they experience Your power and “run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.” Amen

Always Running,

Sandy G

Suddenly

“Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting.” Acts 2:2 NLT

Can you imagine the scene? 120 people in a room, together, in one accord (that right there was the biggest miracle). They’re longing for the promise, they know somethings coming because in Luke 24:49, Jesus told them the Holy Spirit was coming. What would he look like? What would it feel like? I’m thinking this was the only way they could describe the sound-a mighty windstorm.

I think of times in my life where I felt a storm had come and wrecked havoc on my dreams. When the noise of life had been deafening and I just couldn’t hear clear direction. Suddenly, a still small voice was heard above the roar and like a whirlwind, swept away all the uncertainty, doubt and fear to be replaced with the sweetest peace ever known. Have you experienced that?

It happened once again just yesterday. Something tried to take my peace, shove me off my feet, slam me to my knees thinking it would get the best of me and cause me to be fearful. Little did he know that when you put a blood bought child of God who is filled with the Spirit of God on my knees, it just causes me to pray! Suddenly, the mighty Spirit of God swept all the fear away and clearly assured me of victory. Suddenly, the problem seemed very small and the answer seemed very large.

If you are waiting for an answer, don’t wait for it to get quiet before you hear, allow the Spirit of God to still your soul so that in the middle of all the noise, you hear him loud and clear. I can hear my mom singing an old song, “Oh yes the answer’s on the way this I know. Jesus said it, I believe it and its so. Our Heavenly Father knows our need before we pray and we can rest assured, the answers on the way.”

QUICKLY. That was the word that rose up in my spirit this morning while praying for you. QUICKLY. Doors will open QUICKLY. Needs will be met QUICKLY. Healing will manifest QUICKLY. Debts canceled QUICKLY. Answers QUICKLY. Whatever you’re waiting for, surrender it to God. He’s almighty, creator, provider, protector, deliverer and healer. Stop holding onto what you weren’t meant to carry. He’s moving QUICKLY to cause all the pieces to come together. He’s working on your behalf QUICKLY.

Holy Spirit, do your thing in us today! Quickly! We receive it right now in Jesus’ name and for Your glory. Amen

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G

Voice Activated

And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you.” Luke 17:6

Did you catch that? It’s a voice activated Kingdom we live in! WOW! Whats that mean to us? SAY IT! DECLARE IT! DECREE IT! It’s not going to happen by itself. You will say! There are times when you ask, but there are times to declare.

God didn’t say, ‘Light, will you come please?’ No, he said, LIGHT BE, and it was! Kings who rule do not ask, they command. If you don’t talk to your circumstances, they will talk to you. Don’t believe me? Try not eating for a few days, your stomach will talk to you!

When Jesus healed the sick, He spoke to sickness. He activated His words to create a different outcome. What sort of outcome do you want? If you knew that your miracle is waiting on you to activate your words, would you stay quiet? I sure wouldn’t!

Pain-you’re dismissed! be gone! I say health come. Nothing missing or broken! I say to Lack-you’re dismissed. Poverty is under the curse and I am under the blessing. Nothing missing or broken in my finances, in my family, in my future! I speak to my destiny, COME! All things are possible to them who believe.

Oh, thank you Jesus for showing us a better way. You didn’t say to ask the mulberry tree to please die, You said it as a command. You speak to your children who are lost in this worlds system and call them back. Speak to whatever you’re facing and have faith that your words, joined with your faith will bring the results you’re saying. Remember this, God backs your words! Good or bad, you can expect to have what you say. Make your words count in activating the supernatural in your life!

Father, You set a great example for us when You created the universe. You showed us with Your words how we are to activate the power of the Holy Spirit in us. I declare Your Word today and come into agreement with it because it will never come back empty or unfulfilled. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Declaring,

Sandy G
