God Keeps His Word

God’s Message to Jeremiah: “Have you heard the saying that’s making the rounds: ‘The two families God chose, Israel and Judah, he disowned’? And have you noticed that my people are treated with contempt, with rumors afoot that there’s nothing to them anymore?

“Well, here’s God’s response: ‘If my covenant with day and night wasn’t in working order, if sky and earth weren’t functioning the way I set them going, then, but only then, you might think I had disowned the descendants of Jacob and of my servant David, and that I wouldn’t set up any of David’s descendants over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. But as it is, I will give them back everything they’ve lost. The last word is, I will have mercy on them.’” Jeremiah 33:23-26 Message

As I was reading the above this morning, I thought, they were trying to cancel people back then. But God wasn’t having any of that. He’s a covenant keeping God and therefore, what He said, He will do. I never thought of Him separating the day from the night as a covenant, but His Word is always His covenant.

I don’t know if you’re familiar with the word covenant, but the dictionary defines it as an agreement, usually formal, between two or more persons to do or not do something specified. You see, God doesn’t loosely give His Word. What comes out of His mouth lasts eternally. The covenant He made with Abraham in Genesis 17 is ours as well as his adopted heirs.

No one can cancel you. They can’t cancel your purpose or God’s plans for you. And the great thing about that is, He will give you back everything you lost and have mercy on you. What an absolutely wonderful gift to be a part of such a big family and a Father who always keeps His Word.

My dear friend, I’m thankful you’re a part of my life. I’m thankful you allow me to share a small part of my time with God every morning. I hope you’re encouraged to be all God intended for you to be. Stay connected with the Remnant Bride, keep your lamps trimmed and full of oil. You never know when Jesus will come for you, but you can be ready.

Patiently Waiting,

Sandy G

Chasing After Him

Make God the utmost delight and pleasure of your life, and he will provide for you what you desire the most. Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly! He will appear as your righteousness, as sure as the dawning of a new day. He will manifest as your justice, as sure and strong as the noonday sun. Psalm 37:4-6 TPT

What do you desire the most? I had to think hard about this because, well sometimes life can be so tough. It’s tiring to constantly try to scrape together enough to pay your bills and buy groceries. There are times when it’s a stretch to do both! It doesn’t matter if you’re single or married, the fact is that the struggle is real. It would be so nice to have more than enough, right?

“So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly.  Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.” Matthew 6:33-34 TPT

So according to this, our attention needs to be on His Kingdom, which is in us. His way of being and doing is allowing the Holy Spirit to be in control and as we follow His lead, all the rest of what we need will come in line. Our focus first on Him, His focus first on us. Chase after Him and He will put everything in perspective.

I will run after You with all my heart today. When I become winded and my legs grow weary, I will stop and rest in the shadow of You Wing. Show me Your Glory. May Your manifested presence go before me and lead me in the way that I should go. I will not be distracted by the problem at hand–You have this.

My Heart is Yours,

Sandy G

He’s Always Faithful

Don’t follow after the wicked ones or be jealous of their wealth. Don’t think for a moment they’re better off than you. They and their short-lived success will soon shrivel up and quickly fade away like grass clippings in the hot sun. Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God and you will be secure, feasting on his faithfulness. Psalm 37:1-3 TPT

If ever there was a time we needed to hear these verses, it’s today. There are a whole lot of wicked and wealthy leaders who are making decisions that are hurting the people of this nation. But let’s be clear–they are not better off than you are, not by a long shot! You are a child of the Living God but their god is their money which will soon be taken from them.

How do I know this? Because God said that the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just and that is you and me. The just will live by faith, faith in the Son of God. That is also you and me. And those who hope in the Lord will not be ashamed, their enemies won’t triumph over them.

That’s good news, my friend! Keep trusting in the Lord. Keep doing right things, keep your eyes on Him and let Him do the heavy lifting. Our job is to trust, His job is to keep His Word. Fix your heart on the promise of God. That word fix means to become set; assume a rigid or solid form. Be solid in your trust. Don’t let what you see in the natural cause you to be weary or unstable.

When you do this, you will feast on His faithfulness. Not just one day, but forever! You’ll become so satisfied doing His will, you won’t even want to entertain or be jealous of those who do evil. Your heart will be satisfied with the good things God has provided, for He will always take care of you when you take care of what is His.

Tangible Love

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” 1 John 2:15-17

Walt regularly asks me, “Do I show you that I love you enough?” It’s his way of making sure my needs are always met, that I know I’m a priority in his life. There have been times that we’ve been so busy with other things that we’ve neglected each other in some way and I’ve always answered him honestly.

When I read this passage above, it reminded me of how we should ask this same question honestly of ourselves. Father, do I show you I love you enough? Are you always a priority with me? Have I allowed the cares of this life and the busyness of the world to shift my attention? If so, I’m sorry. I will try to be more diligent in making sure You have my full attention. You, oh Lord are the source of love and all of my devotion is for You. You daily watch over me, hiding me with protection against my enemies.

Sometimes I’m oblivious to what goes on around me, but You, Lord are a shield to me, my glory, the protecter of my heart. Just like when Walt and I are at the grocery store and I’m focused on something else, he holds me back from being run over by another shoppers cart. I’m so glad You pays attention for me. Oh how You love me!

Thank You for the man you’ve given me that shows me in tangible ways the great depths of Your love. Bless him today in every way, spirit, soul and body. Strengthen and lift him to a high place. Reward him for his deep love.

Always Loved,

Sandy G

Present Tense

Now God, don’t hold out on me, don’t hold back your passion. Your love and truth are all that keeps me together. When troubles ganged up on me, a mob of sins past counting, I was so swamped by guilt I couldn’t see my way clear. More guilt in my heart than hair on my head, so heavy the guilt that my heart gave out. Psalm 40:11-12 Message

Have you ever had your past mistakes overwhelm you like David explained in this writing? We know about the time he desired Bathsheba and not only got her pregnant but had her husband killed. He thought he’d tricked everyone until God sent Nathan the prophet to confront him.

Satan wants nothing more than to have us live in our past. If he can badger us with the mistakes that we’ve made, he will succeed in keeping us from being what God needs us to be in our present. The past is not a good place to stay. It clouds our vision and keeps us living in the mire of guilt and condemnation. Stuck in past mistakes, entertaining the ‘what if’s’ and the ‘if onlies’. Wishing for a ‘do over’ so somehow the guilt would lessen.

But wait–here’s the good news. According to Romans 8:1-2 in the Message bible, “With the arrival of Jesus, the Messiah, that fateful dilemma is resolved. Those who enter into Christ’s being-here-for-us no longer have to live under a continuous, low-lying black cloud. a new power is in operation. The spirit of life in Christ, like a strong wind, as magnificently cleared the air, freeing you from a fated lifetime of brutal tyranny at the hands of sin and death.”

What does that mean for us? Our past has been cleared away. Every time Satan tries to bring up our past, we can remind him that our past is gone. We are blood bought, cleared of all charges, washed white as snow. Gods gavel of justice has been heard as He announced, “NOT GUILTY!”

It’s time to live in the present, doing what God has asked us to do. Not waiting until we look different or become perfect, but depending on His Spirit to bring us into all truth. To walk in the spirit and not live the way we want to. We belong to Him.

God’s not looking for perfect people. He’s looking for willing people. Be that person today. Stop living in your past and start looking to your future because that’s where Jesus is. He is in your future! Let’s take this world for Jesus today. Right where you are. Now is the time of salvation.

I’m Leaving My Past,

Sandy G

Good Roots

“You must determine if a tree is good or rotten. You can recognize good trees by their delicious fruit. But if you find rotten fruit, you can be certain that the tree is rotten. The fruit defines the tree.  But you who are known as the Pharisees are rotten to the core! You’ve been poisoned by the nature of a venomous snake. How can your words be good and trustworthy if you are rotten within? For what has been stored up in your hearts will be heard in the overflow of your words!” Matthew 12:33-34 TPT

I’m so thankful that God chose to love me. I’m thankful that He put me back together again. Some of you may look and say, “He’s far from finished!” and I must agree that I’m a work in progress, but if you had known me back in the day–if you had known me when my emotions controlled me, when every wind that blew made me unstable and threatened to uproot me. You see, when you have known God and become planted in that deep unconditional love so deep that your roots are strong, than a hurricane could rip through, flood waters could come and it may strip some branches or take your leaves, but you know they’ll grow back because the roots are still deep in the ground.

What sort of fruit do you bear or does it bear at all? Does your life give out or just take from everyone and everything? Does it strip others of what they have in order to feel good or does it give to be a blessing? Every good tree sows seed to grow more trees like itself. Nothing is ever wasted.

The things you’ve been through are not meant to be wasted. They merely provide what’s needed to grow and sow into others around you. You can make a choice today to grow and share or keep it to yourself where no one benefits from it. If there are things you’ve overcome, ask God for a chance to share your victories with others so they too may be encouraged to grow.

Father, thank you for the opportunities in life I’ve had to sow into the lives of others. May I always be a sower. Those who sow plentifully, reap plentifully but those who sow sparingly will reap sparingly. Give me opportunity to share from the fruit of my tree today so that others may be nourished and grow from it as well. I live for your pleasure, great King. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Rooted in Love,

My Father Shares

I pray that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would impart to you the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the Spirit of revelation to know him through your deepening intimacy with him. I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling—that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones! Ephesians 1:17-18 TPT

Oh dear Jesus! What a wonderful word this morning as I cry out for more. The intimacy of knowing Him in a deeper way. The God who lives with me, abides in me, taking me deeper, solving problems in the now and the future. Knowing someone takes time. If we don’t invest the time, we will never be trusted with the deep secrets. You’ll have knowledge of them, but to truly have deep relationship, that takes setting aside our agenda, ask questions and listening for answers.

And that “God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling”. That has ‘more’ written all over it. We know so little, but each day holds promise that we will know Him more.

I don’t want to live in just today! My vision extends beyond my own horizon to a future that is alive with promise. I’m excited for what God has in store for me and mine. I have the spirit of wisdom and revelation only because I seek for and find it in His Word. I don’t rely on someone else to give it to me. When I prayed the prayer, ‘Give me more of you, Lord. I want to be used in a greater way. Don’t leave me the same. I want to know you more,” He responded.

He doesn’t try to withhold from us! He longs to give us the keys to his Kingdom. If He is not the treasure we seek, we will continue to come up empty. Treasure hunting is hard work, that’s why few people do it. It costs you everything, takes time and discipline, but the rewards are amazing. Most just want to hear the story, see the treasure but don’t want to do what it takes to own it. Don’t be jealous of my treasure! I have a Father who shares with me.

Father, as I sit with You this morning, I don’t want it to be about me. I want to know about You! Take me behind the curtain where intimacy takes place. Show me things I have not seen that I may be consumed by You. Take me. I’m yielded to You. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Always Seeking,

Sandy G

Clearing My Head Space

Of course we are human, but we don’t fight like humans. The weapons we use in our fight are not made by humans. Rather, they are powerful weapons from God. With them we destroy people’s defenses, that is, their arguments and all their intellectual arrogance that oppose the knowledge of God. We take every thought captive so that it is obedient to Christ. II Corinthians 10:3-5 Gods Word Translation

You are responsible for what you allow into your head. You can receive or reject it, it’s always your choice. What you allow to take residence, determines who you become. Some of us have been thinking on the wrong things far too long. It’s confused us into believing we are less than God created us to be; kings and priests.

Every thought! Sometimes you have to say, “Hold up there! That thought doesn’t line up with the Word of God so I’m not receiving it!” then you must find the scripture that is true and speak it out. Have you ever had a pain and a thought came, “Oh, you probably need a knee replacement.” Is that thought of God? No, because the infallible Word say that, “by His stripes, I am healed.” Or have you ever had a doctor give you a report that seriously shortened your life span? But if his report doesn’t line up with what Gods truth says, I respond, “I don’t receive that thought. With long life He will satisfy me and show me His salvation.”

Father, I remind you of your word because I Samuel 22:31 says; “As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.” Thank you Lord that today, your word is manifest in my body, my mind, my finances, my faith and my future. You are more than enough for me. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

Clearing The Air,

Sandy G

If He Says it I Believe it!

Jesus replied, “Let the faith of God be in you. Listen to the truth I speak to you: If someone says to this mountain with great faith and having no doubt ‘Mountain, be lifted up and thrown into the midst of the sea,’ and believes that what he says will happen, it will be done.  This is the reason I urge you to boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer—believe that you have received it and it will be yours. Mark 11:22-24 Passion Translation

There are a whole lot of people today who don’t believe what Jesus said in this passage. But the simple truth is, it’s what we’ve been created for, called to–a life of faith. Faith is grown by believing. If belief is lost, faith dies. If faith dies, you get nothing. How’s that for simple truth?!

Remember that word you received from the Lord? Remember the faith that rose up inside of you when you heard it? But so much time has passed and nothing’s happened, so you’ve lost sight of what He promised. My question is, what are you believing for today? Write it down. Now let that consume your vision and allow faith to return. Not in your ability to achieve it, but in His ability to create it. Here’s what you need to remember–with God, NOTHING is impossible. Apart from God, NOTHING is possible.

Regardless of what you’re facing, God determines your outcome. It doesn’t matter who rises up against you, greater is the One who stands with you, so stand still and SEE the salvation of your God. David didn’t kill the giant because he thought he was all that. He killed the giant because he knew who was in Him. You can’t do anything alone, but when you know your God, you will be strong, and carry out great exploits. (Daniel 11:32)

Meditate on this today. The victory isn’t seen in the natural until it’s seen in the Spirit. Speak what you SEE and SEE what you SAY.

Go Big or Go Home

Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19 AMPC

I’ve heard this in my spirit for a few years now, but felt it needed to be repeated. It wasn’t a reprimand or a word voiced in anger, but rather a loving warning to the body of Christ, ministers, prophets and priests alike. If this resonates with your spirit, then alright, go ahead and share it. Either way, I’m simply being obedient and posting this.

The definition of the word ‘new’ from dictionary.com is as follows: unfamiliar or strange; having but lately come to a place, position, status, etc.; coming or occurring afresh; further; additional.

The definition that caught my breath was ‘having but lately come to a place, position, status,’ as if the Holy Spirits residence and power within us has been hidden for this moment in history.

So many people are looking for revival to come as it did of old, but I hear the Lord say, “Stop looking back. New means new! It’s not coming like it did in the upper room. It will not be compared with previous moves of my Spirit. That was a ‘than’ encounter and outpouring. I’m doing a totally new thing.”

I’ve personally experienced some pretty awesome encounters with God through His Holy Spirit, but God let me know that this pales in comparison to what He has in store for those who love Him. I’m not talking about people who say the words but their actions don’t follow through. I’m talking about those who have been crying out for more so deep within. The Lord says to get ready to experience the power of the Holy Spirit in a greater way than you could ever imagined. Signs, wonders and miracles will follow you everywhere you go. You will look different and the essence of the Holy Spirit will permeate your being.

“What I’m about to do is going to take your breath away! When I open the windows of heaven and pour out My blessing in the earth, it will literally bury you alive. You will say to Me, “STOP! I CAN’T TAKE ANYMORE!” to which I will respond, “Breathe child, let Me show you how to operate under this anointing. Let Me show you how to operate with this much power. Do not fear what I am doing in the earth.”

Then He said, “Do you remember the saying, ‘Go big or go home?’ If my people don’t move with me in this, I will take them home. Not because I don’t love them, but because this is going to happen with or without them. I will make my people aware of the power they contain and nothing will stop what I have to accomplish in the earth.”

Get ready! It’s coming, it’s coming, it’s coming. Get on your face before the altar and cry out until the rain begins to fall. Be ready for the new!

Daily Longing,

Sandy G
