Talk To The Trouble

images

As I sat down with my journal this morning and asked the Lord what he had to say to me, this verse in John 14:27 came to my mind; “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give peace to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.”

Don’t let your heart be troubled. So I asked him to expose the things that trouble my heart and discovered quite a few things, sorry to say! My response was, how do I avoid my heart being troubled? How can I stop the troubling? His response was to allow Him to take His rightful place in me as the peace giver.

So I began to speak peace over every area that would trouble me this morning and invited the peace giver in to calm the waters. Just like that day on the sea with the wacky disciples who were freaking out because of a storm in a row boat. LOL-like we wouldn’t! Peace! Be still! Get the picture?

How well do you know God? The men in the boat had seen more miracles then we have and yet they were troubled. Look at the difference in those same men after the Holy Ghost was poured out on them in the book of Acts. So my thought is that if we would read more of the Word and pray more in the Spirit, keep our minds on Him, there may be a tad bit less troubling.

He didn’t promise we’d be without trouble in this life. He said He would empower us to overcome the trouble. Jesus was familiar with trouble, but He showed us how to overcome that trouble. Instead of waking from his nap in the boat and confirming their fear, He simply spoke to the storm, “Peace! Be still!”

Stop talking about the storm or the trouble and begin to speak to the trouble or storm. He empowered you to overcome. He said that nothing will by any means harm you. So part of the way Satan succeeds at troubling you is the way he gets you to think about it. Cast down those imaginations today!

Thank You for making me aware that my heart is troubled, Lord. I want to get out everything thats standing between me and my peace, between me and my miracle, between me and You. Thats really the bottom line. I want nothing to come between us, Lord. The closer I get to you, the closer I get to heaven on earth.

Until Tomorrow,

Make Them Scream

images

For a long time he had been homeless and naked, living in a cemetery outside the town. As soon as he saw Jesus, he shrieked and fell down in front of him. Luke 8:27b-28a.

I can’t say that this has ever happened to me. I’ve worked with the homeless before, made some people feel uncomfortable, but never had them scream when they saw me. Someday!

How about you? Do you pray so passionately that Satan takes a step back when he walks into your space? When you declare God’s Word in the middle of a mess or shout out the name of Jesus, he has to respond.

Let’s look at Luke 4:36 ISV; Overwhelmed with amazement, they all kept saying to one another, “What kind of statement is this?—because with authority and power he gives orders to unclean spirits, and they come out!”

Luke 9:1 tells us that Jesus gave his disciples power and authority over all demons, and to heal the sick. So why aren’t we? I invite you to step out into your neighborhoods and communities and do what you were meant to do. Don’t stand idly by and wait for someone else to come do it.

I want to be so much like Jesus that demons scream out when they recognize who I carry on the inside of me. Jesus came to set the captives free. He told me to do greater things. What does that look like to you?

Believe! All things are possible for them that believe!

The Gift of Love

images

“No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us. If we love each other, God’s love has reached its goal—it is made perfect in us.” I John 4:12 ERV

Your love, oh Lord is a gift to me. Each day, I wake up with promises that you speak into my spirit. Each day you keep those promises. You never leave me, even when I wander down the wrong path, you show me the way back to you.

I have found that the gift of Love is not mine to keep, hoarding it as though there will be no more. You have filled me with Love so that I can Love others, giving away what I have each day so that you can fill me up again.

So this morning, I will purpose in my heart to leak out all the Love in me to those who enter my sphere of influence. Perhaps I can make a difference. I present myself to your service of walking in Love.

Your Daughter,

My Infinite God

Unknown-1

Ephesians 3:20: “Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

Limitless. Like someone yanking up the speed limit signs and allowing us to drive as fast as we want to go. Through His mighty power at work within us. How can THAT much power work in me? Inconceivable.

It’s THAT kind of thinking that limits God from doing what he needs to in and through us. If we can’t get our minds out of our own little earthly dimension and into his limitless one, we will be stuck in the ‘barely enough’ zone forever.

To accomplish infinitely more. That word, infinite means; unlimited or unmeasurable in extent of space, duration of time, the boundless regions of space. My favorite, straight from the dictionary; the Infinite (Being), God.

We were meant to be filled with the Spirit of God, but not just filled; filled to overflow. God fills broken vessels so that whats in them spills out onto others. We weren’t meant to stop ourselves up like a jeannie in a bottle. We were meant to be poured out or yielded. And guess what? We all pour out differently because we’re all different vessels.

Father, I give you glory! You are able! Your mighty power IS at work in me. You’re changing my mindset, growing my trust in you, filling me so full of your Word so hard and fast that I spray out your glory on the earth so that YOU might be seen BIGGER than I can imagine. Take the limits off me so that you can accomplish your purpose on the earth. I don’t care what people think or say about me. It’s what YOU think about me that matters. My checkbook only has so many checks, but you own all the banks. HA! and YOU’RE my father! Take THAT, itsy, bitsy, tiney, weenie devil! My God is INFINITE!

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G

It’s Pretty Clear

Unknown-1

Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded with us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people and God wants everyone to know it! Colossians 1:27 TPT

What is it that God wants us to know? That the fact that Christ is in us, is all we need, a never ending supply of power the world will never know.

Let’s take a good look at the word embedded. Dictionary.com says it like this: to be or become fixed or incorporated, as into a surrounding mass.

Do you see what Paul was trying to show us? Jesus is firmly planted inside of us and what He brings into our lives are treasures we must discover how to use. How do we do that? Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the light. No one comes to the Father but by me.”

When Jesus said, “Greater things than this will you do,” he meant it. Not just the shear fact that there are millions of Christians in the world today, but what a powerful force if we simply recognized the power we contain.

Yes, we are full of power! Just as Paul said, “This same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you.” Think about that for just a moment. There is no greater power in heaven or earth than the power that is at work in us. Power to heal the sick, cast out demons and raise the dead and so much more.

I believe that Satan has worked overtime to keep us blind to what we possess. Just as we’ve been blind and deaf to what’s happened in our world, we’ve been deceived into believing we’re powerless. Wake up saints! Jesus gave us all power over all the works of the enemy and nothing will harm us. The key to access all of that is we must believe, for nothing is impossible to those who believe.

I think that’s why God spoke to me to declare over the earth, “EYES OPEN!” He’s made it clear to us that we are His sons and daughters. It’s not just in our DNA, it’s embedded deep within us and can’t be removed. But it’s got to go from head knowledge to heart knowledge. We must know that we know, fully persuaded, than believe that the Word that is in us will heal, save, raise and deliver.

Let’s clean off our lenses so we can see clearly.

Unimaginable Happenings

images

“I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for. Then you will call to me. You will come and pray to me, and I will answer you. You will seek me, and you will find me because you will seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13 GNT

He who created me, has plans for me. GOOD plans. BIG plans. IMPORTANT plans. RICH plans.

I can call on Him and He will answer me. What a promise! Yes there have been times when I thought that God had forgotten about me. I saw things happening for everyone around me but it was like I was invisible to miracles.  But something happened when I shifted my gaze off what I was expecting, to who I was expecting them from.

God gives us dreams that are bigger than we can imagine so that when the unimaginable happens, we’ll know only a BIG God could do that. We’ve all heard the saying, “A watched pot never boils!” Well, I submit to you that a watched problem never resolves. Get busy focusing on God, worshipping him, loving on him, proclaiming his goodness and leave the big stuff to the BIG God.

He reminded me again this morning, “I’ve got this, faithful worshipper! You stay busy doing what I designed you to do and let me handle this for you!” I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a GOD plan to me!

I’m crazy in love with You, Lord. I daydream about Your goodness. I get so full of joy I feel I may burst open and spill out all over everyone around me. I’ll leave this mess to You that I may live to testify of Your great grace on my life. I’m experiencing Your unimaginable plans for me.

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G

Who Ordered This?

Unknown-1

One of my very favorite verses is one that David penned in Psalm 37:23; The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Anyone who knows me has heard me quote this multiple times.

It’s hard to believe that this journey was actually ordered by someone. What was He thinking? Did I actually sign up for this? Yes, why yes I did! The moment I made Jesus Lord of my life, I said yes to His will and ways. I allowed Him full access to my life and allowed Him to take me on a journey that would best suit His plans for me in His Kingdom.

Remember Joseph with his coat of many colors? Now that was a trip! I’m pretty sure when he was on his journey, he probably felt some of the same things we do at times. Tricks and traps, slavery and prison, hurt and betrayal, never looked a thing like the dreams God had given him. But he knew his covenant and trusted God’s plans.

If it was something he could have done on his own, he wouldn’t have needed God. But his trust in God’s plan made every dream a reality. God simply took him on a path he could not walk down alone. His paths and plans may be unfamiliar, crooked and rough, but it is to simply prepare us for a deeper level of trust in Him.

Father, I trust in You. With all my heart I seek You. You alone are my strength and shield, to You alone may my spirit yield. You alone are my hearts desire and I long to worship You. As I rest in Your loving arms this morning, I thank you for the cadence of your heartbeat. All the unknowns and the unfamiliar is hidden in the thing I’m most accustomed to; Your love.

I will end my week with a note of encouragement to you, my dear friends. If the road you’re on looks strange, unfamiliar and uncomfortable, you’re on the right road. If in the distance you see the image of a fellow traveler, shout out to them, “Keep going! You’re almost there!”

May His Kingdom come and His will be done in us, in the earth, on our journey.

His Intentions Are Good

Unknown-1

This God! His way is perfect!
What the Lord declares proves true.
He shields everyone who flees for protection to him! 2 Samuel 22:31 ISV

When things don’t go as we expect them to, we have the tendency to complain and question. But if we truly trust in the Lord with all our heart, we won’t question. Why? Because we know as sons and daughters of God, our steps are ordered by Him and He takes great delight in the plans He has for us (Psalm 37:23).

Think about it. When you get on an airplane, you trust the pilot to get you where you need to be, right? You don’t even have a relationship with them, yet you trust them to get you safely to your destination.

There are hundreds of stories in the bible we can reference, but do you remember when the children of Israel made their exodus from Egypt? They were led by a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night until they arrived at the Red Sea and set up camp. They complained that Moses brought them there to die, but God had a plan to do something so great that there would never be another doubt that He was their deliverer and all or their enemies would know He was Lord!

We’ve all faced ‘Red Sea’s’ before and wondered, “Did I make a wrong turn? Should I go back? I don’t understand! I can’t see! Which way do I go, Lord?” When I come to that place and the ‘wonder why’s’ hit me in the face, I get quiet before the Lord and simply say, “I trust in You! I’m just going to worship You and listen for Your direction. You’ve shown me what to do in the past and I believe You’ll do it again!”

So even when you don’t understand, rejoice in him! Lift up your hands to God and say thank you! For His intentions are always for good and not evil.
Don’t allow fear to derail your blessing.

Do You Have Room For More?

images-1

Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back. Luke 6:38

As I sat in the booth enjoying the last of my breakfast, the waitress stopped by with what looked like a fresh pot of coffee in her hand. “Top it off?” she asked. Never being one to turn down a refill, I pushed my cup to the edge of the table and watched as the hot liquid poured into the cup.

“You don’t need to leave room, I drink it black.” So she filled it all the way to the top, so far that to the unpracticed, unsteady hand, it would of spilled all over when it was lifted to drink from.

I laughed and told her, “No worries! I’m a pro at drinking from full cups. Thank you!”

The fullness of that cup reminded me of the verse in Luke 6:38. As you empty your cup, it simply makes room for more, and more, and more. It would make no sense to try to refill an already full cup.

Soon the Holy Spirit began to speak to me. “I cannot bless what is full. If you hoard what you have, there is no opportunity to refill it. Emptying out what is in your hands builds trust in knowing I will do it again and again. My supply is limitless.”

There’s a reason God asks us to give, to make room for more of his blessings. Even a little becomes much when God is in it.  Every time you give an offering, you make room for more. Every time you help someone, you make room for more. Giving out causes more to come in. Investing in the Kingdom is NEVER a bad investment.

You Have Authority

images

When the seventy missionaries returned to Jesus, they were ecstatic with joy, telling him, “Lord, even the demons obeyed us when we commanded them in your name!”  Jesus replied, “While you were ministering, I watched Satan topple until he fell suddenly from heaven like lightning to the ground.  Now you understand that I have imparted to you all my authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power Satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will be able to harm you as you walk in this authority. However, your real source of joy isn’t merely that these spirits submit to your authority, but that your names are written in the journals of heaven and that you belong to God’s kingdom. This is the true source of your authority.” Luke 10:18-20 TPT

Jesus imparted to us ALL his authority to trample over Satan’s kingdom. Think about that! We can trample down every demon and overcome every power Satan possesses. I don’t know about you, but that makes me so excited! Then He goes on to say that absolutely NOTHING will be able to harm us as we walk in that authority.

But the real joy comes from knowing that our names are written in the Lambs book of life and that we belong to God’s kingdom. That is the true source of our authority! Knowing who we are and whose we are. That is powerful right there!

You see, when you come to know your true identity is found in Christ Jesus, nothing can take that from you. Nothing! It’s more than saying the words, “I’m a Christian,” it’s about the benefits that come along with that title. The very DNA of God runs in you. When Satan looks at you, He sees the image of Jesus Himself.

So take your authority and use it. Don’t bury the treasure in you because you’re afraid you’ll use it wrong. No, begin speaking into the atmosphere around your home, your city and your state. Call down principalities and powers and every evil scheme of the enemy. Jesus clearly said, “Absolutely nothing will be able to harm you as you walk in this authority.”

Use your words, take your authority, build the Kingdom!

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G
