People are known in this same way. Out of the virtue stored in their hearts, good and upright people will produce good fruit. Likewise, out of the evil hidden in their hearts, evil ones will produce what is evil. For the overflow of what has been stored in your heart will be seen by your fruit and will be heard in your words. Luke 6:45 TPT

Reflex: any automatic, unthinking, often habitual response to external circumstances. Your reflex or knee jerk response, often tells what is in your heart.

Here is an example: if I am a giver, then my automatic response to what God has done for me is to give. My giving isn’t based on my paycheck. My giving is based on the endless supply that my source has. If I’m full of pride and arrogance, my knee jerk response will be offense. My reflex will determine my outcome every time.

What is your reflex or knee jerk response? When faced with opportunity, whatever that may look like, what do you opt to do with it? Hate or love? Give or hoard? Stir strife or speak peace? We all have choices, what do yours look like?

I’d rather die with nothing and leave a legacy of love than die wealthy and have no one know the love of my Father. Pause and reflect on your reflex today.
