No Talent No Problem

Unknown-1

Now remember what you were, my friends, when God called you. From the human point of view few of you were wise or powerful or of high social standing. God purposely chose what the world considers nonsense in order to shame the wise, and he chose what the world considers weak in order to shame the powerful. He chose what the world looks down on and despises and thinks is nothing, in order to destroy what the world thinks is important. This means that no one can boast in God’s presence. I Corinthians 1:26-28 GNT

This has been in my spirit for awhile so please allow me to share. I have a dear friend who has always stated to me that she has no talent and no gift, how could God ever use her? I know many of us feel that way, right? I have!

You know, if it was all about us, we would never need God. It’s not about our talents, it’s about our ability to allow Him to work in and through us for His pleasure. I heard the Lord say, “The emptier the vessel the more room for containment of my Spirit.” How cool, right?

Well, as I was talking with my ‘no talent’ friend, I heard that again and this scripture popped into my head. She was sharing how God was dealing with little tiny thoughts or feelings that didn’t line up with the Word. I saw how God was preparing her to walk in the supernatural, teaching her to hear his voice clearly. God merely wants vessels He can use who will not take His glory but give it back to him. WOW!

I don’t care who you are, you could be in a hospital bed, paralyzed, with absolutely no
education, disfigured, incapable, homeless, jobless, do you see where I’m going? It’s not about you, it’s about HIM. If we will just seek His face, not for what is in His hand, but what is in His heart, and allow Him to change us into an empty, flexible vessel, He will fill us with His new wine and do great exploits though simple you and me.

What hope! What promise! I’m so excited! Get ready for greater signs, wonders and miracles as you simply pass by someone and the Spirit of the Lord that is in you changes their circumstance for them. Just like Peter and John walking by the cripple man in the temple but you won’t even need to say a word, just give God the glory.

Remember, Gods kingdom is backward from ours. Stop thinking, start listening and obeying. Do what you see the Father doing! Say what you hear the Father saying. Be open for more of Him.
