I open my mouth and inhale the word of God because I crave the revelation of your commands. Psalm 119:131

Here’s a revelation for you this morning; if you don’t inhale, you will die! You thought that was going to be a deep truth, right? Well let me just say that this is the deepest truth you will hear all day.

If you don’t inhale the Word of God, your spirit will die! You simply cannot survive this life without inhaling the life giving oxygen of His truth. When you think that 5 minutes without air causes brain damage and that without a miracle, it’s permanent, how much more important is it that our spirits get the same?

I know you’re probably thinking, not the same, Sandy! Totally different! Really, you think so? Let’s look at John 6:63; It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. The very next verse, Jesus said, But there are some of you who do not believe.

Father, Your word is life because I’ve found it, it’s health to my flesh. It’s the joy in my sorrow, it’s the peace in my storm. You are the air I breath. You give me life, not just enough life, but abundant life. You never do anything small, but way beyond my expectations. I would have died long ago if I had not filled lungs up with the Your life giving Word. As I exhale today, may others be touched by the same air that energizes me. It’s in Jesus’ name and for Your glory, Amen.
