“You will find true success when you find me, for I have insight into wise plans that are designed just for you. I hold in my hands living-understanding, courage, and strength.” Proverbs 8:14 TPT
God knows you and created you for greatness, but instead of seeking greatness, seek Him. Everyone wants to be successful, but they tend to go after success by trying what others have done or are doing. But what if that’s not for you? What if God has another way and only wants you to spend time with Him to find it?
I was thinking back on successful men & women in the Bible and I found a common thread, they were in obscurity until they encountered God. Abraham, Moses, David, Ruth, Gideon, Joseph and Mary are just a few. Each one a different story, each one unique in purpose, all of them great in Gods eyes.
You may look like Gideon, hiding in a winepress or like Jonah, running away from Gods orders, but if you step out and say yes, it proves 2 things: 1.You hear Gods voice & 2. You’re willing. He doesn’t require anything else. He said if you seek me you’ll find me if you seek me with all your heart.
Stop second guessing whether you’re on the right road or not. Your steps are ordered by God and He delights in the ways He’s planned for you. Seeking Him daily in your obscure place is exactly where you need to be, than continuing to seek Him in your successes and your supposed failures.
I don’t measure success by how many people read my blog. I measure success by encountering God in the secret place. For He walks with me and He talks with me, and He tells me I am His own. And the joy we share as I tarry there, none other has ever known.
Until Tomorrow I tarry in my obscure place….
