Fridays Delightful Discovery

“In the beginning I was there, for God possessed me even before he created the universe. From eternity past I was set in place, before the world began. I was anointed from the beginning. Before the oceans depths were poured out, and before there were any glorious fountains overflowing with water, I was there, dancing!” Proverbs 8:22-24 TPT

As I read this, I remembered Genesis 1:1-3 and how the Holy Spirit was hovering over the face of the deep. How exciting to bump into this treasure. I wanted to post the entire chapter because it’s just so cool. But in verses 30-31 it says this:

“I was there, close to the Creator’s side as his master artist. Daily he was filled with delight in me as I playfully rejoiced before him. I laughed and played, so happy with what he had made, while finding my delight in the children of men.”

Isn’t that beautiful? Holy Spirit laughed and played! He found His delight in the children of men. I cannot express just how this makes me feel. No wonder Father sent us His Spirit to live in us. He finds delight in us. He’s our joy. Our peace. Our laughter. Our dance and our song.

Does that make you as excited as I am? I believe He’s excited that we’ve made the discovery. I sense Him coursing through me now, doing the happy dance. Dancing on my skin as the gooseflesh rises. Inserting songs and thoughts of the Fathers great love for me. Twirling me around as the music rises in crescendo, “Dance with me, Sandy!”

His voice in me is speaking today and every day, “I’m not just those things, I’m all those things and more. There is so much you’ve yet to discover about who I am and what I do, but you’re about to. It’s all in the yielding, the surrender to Me, allowing me to do in and through you the things that will bring joy to Your Father. Be vulnerable to me, for in that, will open up to you more than your mere imagination can comprehend.”

I’ll Be Over Here Delighting!
