Wavering & Unstable

Unknown

Join me, everyone! Trust only in God every moment! Tell him all your troubles and pour out your heart-longings to him. Believe me when I tell you—he will help you! Pause in his presence. Psalm 62:8 TPT

Trust-reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence. We say we trust in the Lord but do we really? Trust is something we say often but our actions don’t seem to line up.

“I trust God, but…..” That’s not trust! That’s uncertainty. That’s like offering me a chair but just before I sit down, you say, “Um, I’m not sure it will hold you, it’s only designed to hold so much weight!” WHAT? Don’t do that! Especially when I’m in the process of sitting.

James 1:7-8 says it so well; When you are half-hearted and wavering it leaves you unstable. Can you really expect to receive anything from the Lord when you’re in that condition?

My friends, trust must be a sure thing. The only way I can trust someone is when I have relationship with them and really know them. I know I can trust my husband! He’s proved himself throughout the years. When he tells me he’ll do something, I can count on him to do it. Now it may not be when I want it done, but he will do it!

It’s like that with God. I’ve known Him for a very long time and although He may not do it on my time-table or the way I think it should be done, He will do it. If He said it, He will do it. Period! I’m so confident of that, I simply move on to the next thing because I know He’s got it. I’m not going to wring my hands and worry about whether it will happen, I’m going to say, “Ok God, now that You’ve got that, what do You want me to do for You?”

Inevitably, He gives me a new assignment or asks me to declare something over someone. I simply refuse to waste my time worrying about something I’ve surrendered to God. Was I always that way? NO! Quite the opposite! But the more I seek Him, the more I find Him. The more I find Him, the more I know Him. The more I know Him, the more I trust Him.

So once again, “Join me, everyone! Trust only in God every moment! Tell him all your troubles and pour out your heart-longings to him. Believe me when I tell you—he will help you! Pause in his presence.”

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G
