The Music of My Past

Unknown

So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose. Romans 8:28

I know this may surprise you, but I have history. Although I was raised in a Christian home, I didn’t always do Christian. Can I get a witness? When I was a teen I made some very stupid decisions. I was rebellious and did some things I’m not very proud of. But the good news is, I found my way back to Jesus, stood at his feet and asked forgiveness and then, they were gone!

Every time I would try to bring those things up again, He would tell me, “I don’t remember that! That must have been before my blood washed it all away.” It took me a bit to soak that in. I’ve been reminded of my imperfections by everyone who knows me, but the one who knows me best and loves me most, He has amnesia!

Your past is just that-past. God will take those things, even wrong things, and use them for His glory and your good. The thing that Satan meant to destroy you with will end up being a boomerang that destroys him and his plans.

Don’t ever downplay your past. It’s only a compilation of the most beautiful song of your future. You may be in the middle of something horrible and can’t see how Gods gonna use this but trust me, He has a plan.

Don’t allow the enemy to steal your song. Just one more note. One more word and your song will be complete. Sing, mighty child of God! Sing from your pain! Sing from your failure! Sing with passion for a tender loving God. Your song gets more beautiful with the deep meaning it holds for you and when you sing it, it’s going to touch more lives then you can imagine. Sing!
