When Hathach told Mordecai what Esther had said, Mordecai sent her this message: “Don’t think that just because you live in the king’s house you’re the one Jew who will get out of this alive. If you persist in staying silent at a time like this, help and deliverance will arrive for the Jews from someplace else; but you and your family will be wiped out. Who knows? Maybe you were made queen for just such a time as this.” Esther 4:12-14 Message Bible

I was recently telling a friend the story of Esther and the way God had placed her in the palace to rescue His people from certain annihilation. While I told the story, I became acutely aware of the grand plans God has for each of us and how each of us play a very special part in those plans.

Lately I’ve been hearing, “I know the plans I have for you! Trust me! It may not make sense to you but it does to me. I know the plan. I made the plan. Listen to my Spirit deep inside of you for I will surely direct your steps.”

“Maybe you were made queen for just such a time as this.” A reminder of our value and the role we play. It wasn’t for nothing that you were born with your name at this time in history. It wasn’t for your plans or dreams but God’s plans to complete His gift of a Bride for His Son.

We are a perfect fit into that body. Each of us a cell. Each one a carrier of the Oil that’s been poured out upon us. So be the bride! His bride of purpose and action.
