Best Friend Friday

images-1.jpeg

The Lord is my best friend and my shepherd.  I always have more than enough. He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where he restores and revives my life. He opens before me pathways to God’s pleasure and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honor to his name. Psalm 23:1-3 TPT

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog this week. Each of you, your comments and words of encouragement are read and appreciated more than you’ll ever know. I share this particular passage because your best friend asked me to. He wanted to remind you that He’s accompanied you throughout your week and has enjoyed spending time with you.

I hope you find the tracks He’s left you so that it leads to His oasis of peace and His quiet brook of bliss. You know you don’t have to go to a remote island to find that, right? It doesn’t cost you a thing to shut yourself away with Him and allow His love to revive and refresh you.

Make this weekend about Him and you, before you fill it up with events and activities. An hour alone with Him will make you more productive in everything else you do if you only put Him first. You’ll be a better father, mother, wife, husband, daughter, son and friend.

You see, relationship with God must be a priority, not a nod as you hurriedly pass by. Every relationship must come 2nd to Him so that you can bring honor to His name. Nothing else will satisfy the longing of your heart.

So today, as you look in the mirror of yesterday and take in what’s behind you, ask yourself how much of that was about you and how much was about Him. Then determine that today, you’ll start out with Jesus. Let Him ride with you to work and pour your heart out to Him. Lavish Him with love and let Him know you’ve found His footsteps.

Until Next Week,

Sandy G
