I Hear Father Calling, Come!

I was impressed to go back a few years in my journal to post a message I needed to be reminded of.

1-18-12 “It’s time to get the attention of those slumbering. Awake I say, Awake! Stop living in your comforts and ease, your spiritual laziness is keeping you from the readiness you need to be in. I’m releasing promise. I’m releasing vision. I’m releasing a multitude of giftings, but so few are paying attention.

“Awake, daughter of Zion. Awake from your slumber. Get your lamps trimmed and filled for the day has come, the marriage supper is being prepared. Do you sense the longing in you? Do you not sense it? Prepare yourself to receive what I’m pouring out on the earth, for in due season, you will reap if you faint not says the Lord.”

Perhaps you’ve heard the call, the tugging on your spirit to come away, be with Him, your beloved. There’s an old song I used to sing called, I Miss My Time With You. It goes like this:”I miss my time with you, those moments together. I need to be with you each day and it hurts me when you say, you’re too busy, busy trying to serve me, but how can you serve me when your spirit’s empty. There’s a longing in my soul, wanting more than just a part of you. It’s true, I miss my time with you.”

I used to make up every excuse in the book to avoid my mornings with God. Too much to do, not enough time, work, kids, too many demands. But the bottom line was, I didn’t know the value in spending time with God. I didn’t realize it would change me so, give me this much strength. I’ve always loved God, always had relationship with Him, but my friend, until you’re intimate with someone, you’re not one with them and unable to produce any offspring. And isn’t that what this life is all about? He wants you to give Him more sons and daughters.

Revelation 22:17, “And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.” What will your response be? Excuse me while I run into His open arms of love and am swept away in His presence.

Father, I heard You call into my room, “Wake up! It’s time to get moving! I have plans for you today and you’re going to need My direction to do it.” So here I am, awake and ready. Give me Your instructions, and may I walk in the authority and power You gave me. May the lives that surround me be changed and awakened to Your call as well. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray, Kingdom come! Will be done on earth as in Heaven. Amen

I’m Coming,

Abundance

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. John 10:10 Amplified

I love this definition of the word, abundance. Dictionary.com says it’s an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply.

God always does things abundantly. He never does things in small ways. You were never meant to be broke; God is your Provider. You were never meant to be sick; God is your Healer. You were never meant to be fearful; God is your Protector. You were never meant to be alone; God is with you. Your husband is His. Your children are His. Your life is His. He is God and there is no other. If He is for you, who can be against you? Won’t you just take a moment and thank Him? He’s been all this and more to you.

II Corinthians 9:8 AMP: And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.

Here we are trying to do it all in ourselves and God has already provided every favor and earthly blessing, every miracle needed, every way of escape, everything we will ever need, and placed it inside of us. He simply wants our trust. Think about that. How drastically would your life change if you really believed that verse? You wouldn’t sweat it, you’d believe and trust Him for direction, than out of that trust, you’d submit and do it His way.

Father, so many times I just wanted to be in control and I’ve so messed things up! I repent of my self-sufficiency. What was I thinking? That I had enough wisdom in myself to make it happen? I realize now that everything in my life is designed to develop utmost trust in You. So today, I submit and surrender the lordship of my life to You, the author and finisher of my faith.

You have placed in me everything I need, it’s Your Holy Spirit. He counsels me, instructs and directs my steps. He keeps me healthy and strong, keeps me balanced, helps me to walk in love, to forgive and accept forgiveness. He either removes obstacles, shows me how to get around or over them. Every good and perfect gift is from You. You are the only wise one. You have provided a table filled with goodness, grace and mercy, just as my enemy thought he’d defeated me, my trust in You paid off and you whooped his loser self.

You are amazing beyond words, even beyond my ability to comprehend. Therefore I will hope in my God. I will not give up or quit. I know that You hear every word I speak, therefore I will remind You of Your promises to me and know that You deliver on them and keep Your Word. It’s in Jesus name and for Your glory, Amen.

Living in Abundance,

Brag On The Lord Today

Who are those who fear the Lord? He will show them the path they should choose. They will live in prosperity and their children will inherit the Promised Land. Friendship with the Lord is reserved for those who fear him. With them he shares the secrets of his covenant. Psalm 25:12-14

The definition of fear is; awe, respect, reverence or veneration. When we speak of Gods goodness & have deep respect for Him, its fearing the Lord. Suffice it to say that those who fear the Lord talk constantly of His goodness, mercy and grace. They have first hand knowledge of His Word and His Name and when they speak of Him, it’s deeply personal.

I’m not afraid of God, I have utmost respect for Him and honor Him in the way I treat and respect others. My relationship with Him has proved He always keeps His Word to me. I expect Him to keep His covenant promise of provision, healing and everything else promised. He’s never let me down.

Because I fear the Lord, He promises direction. When I come to a cross road and am unsure which way to go, I look to Him and He shows me. Psalm 37:23 says that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and He takes delight in His way. Every day I ask the Lord, what plans do You have for me today? Who will I meet that I can tell about Your great love? It’s exciting to reflect on where my Father took me today and what we did together.

Brag about the Lord today. Be His friend!

The Suddenly of God

“For this reason we also, from the day we heard of it, have not ceased to pray and make [special] request for you, [asking] that you may be filled with the full (deep and clear) knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom [in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God] and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things—” Colossians 1:9 Amp

Is that not the truth! We need to know the will of God so that we can declare it in the earth. I’m reminded of the Lords prayer when Jesus gave the proclamation, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven!”

We need to see and declare! Spending time in the presence of God is the only way we can get this kind of insight. Why do you think the enemy distracts us and steals our time, keeping us so busy we don’t have time for God. He knows his time is short and the more people he can keep quiet the better.

We see in Isaiah 48:3, “I have declared the former things from the beginning; They went forth from My mouth, and I caused them to hear it. Suddenly I did them, and they came to pass.” WOW! I just read that over 3 times! That is profound right there.

He speaks about things that went out of His mouth as ‘them’ and He caused them to hear it. SUDDENLY He did them and they came to pass. I’m telling you this, until we see what we’re believing for, we’ll never speak to it and bring it into manifestation.

We were made in the image and likeness of God. Speaking spirits that are redeemed. King of kings, Lord of lords, right? Jesus our example; that means doing what we see He did and saying what He said. It’s time to see what God wants us to see so that we can call them in. Kingdom come!

Father, put a guard on my lips that I may use wisdom. May I be a builder of people, a grower of faith, a proclaimer of things not yet seen. Open the eyes of my understanding that I may know You deeper and have wisdom to proclaim Your will in the earth. It’s in Jesus’ name and for Your glory. Amen

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G

Your End Date is Scheduled

“You will not have to fight this battle. Just take up your positions and wait; you will see the Lord give you victory. People of Judah and Jerusalem, do not hesitate or be afraid. Go out to battle, and the Lord will be with you!” 2 Chronicles 20:17 GNT

Good morning my friends!

I just need to say this to somebody who’s been in a battle for so long they feel like it will never end. God has an end date scheduled for your battle. It’s not yours-it’s His. You’ve conditioned yourself to fight, but God wants you to rest. If you’ll step away, spend your time focused on Him, loving on Him, worshipping Him, simply reconditioning yourself to rest, He will fight the battle for you.

You’re about to stand on the other side and say, “Why didn’t I know this sooner? I could have saved myself so much energy!” Remember, the enemy is strategic in hiding truth from you. But the Word says, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (His way of doing and being), then all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” John 8:32

My friend, truth is found in Gods presence. You focus on God and He will reveal the truth to you. It’s been hard for you because you were never made to fight it. Your weapon is the Word, and what you declare in the Spirit realm will determine the outcome of your battle. But you must just come to Him and focus your attention on Him, not your battle, your sickness, your finances-HIM! It’s in His presence, that’s where your answer lies.

Resting With You,

Sandy G

Wait Here

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. Psalm 9:10

Sometimes I think we lose sight of important details when we become Christians. We get so busy ‘doing’ for Christ that we stop seeking Christ. We are so busy seeking the ‘anointing’ that we stop seeking the Anointer. So what’s more important, the call of God on our lives or the Caller? Should we be seeking after the gift or the Giver?

Please don’t get me wrong. I believe everyone should be a part of a local body or church. I love being involved, to encourage, build and serve. But if I don’t seek His face everyday, spend time in His presence and listen for direction in my day to day living, I risk doing all that out of my flesh and not out of my spirit.

Trust me when I tell you, I can’t do anything in and of myself. I believe that as I seek after God with all my heart and stop trying to understand Him, because that’s never going to happen, but just show up everyday wanting more of Him. To know His love, grace, mercy and compassion, that as I begin to fill up with Him and empty out the me, that’s when I come into my true calling, my destiny or purpose.

Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

So, this is what I’m asking, well, not me, but the Lord; “When will you answer the call I’ve placed in you to come up higher? When will you stop driving your life long enough to just spend time enjoying me? When will you allow me first place? When will I stop being an after-thought instead of always on your mind? When was the last time you laughed with me, cried with me, felt my embrace?

“I’m not a distant God. I’ve always longed to fellowship with my own, that’s why I sent my Son to restore that relationship. Come, you will find all you need in me, then listen, I will send you where you’re needed. You’ll no longer be tiring yourself out and spinning your wheels. I have purpose for you.”

Oh Father, how silly of me to think I can do ANYTHING without you. I desperately need to feel Your touch, hear Your voice and know Your plans for me. I will not move from this place of worship until I hear Your voice. You never disappoint. Never. It’s my sincere desire to be used of You greater than ever before. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Waiting,

Sandy G

May I Obey

Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” Genesis 22:2

Was reading Genesis 22 this morning. How I love the story of Abraham being asked to sacrifice his only son. What faith he had in his covenant with God. Not once did he cry, slam his fist on the table, stomp off in a huff. He had already set his heart toward obedience to God and nothing could shake him from his course.

How about you? Has God ever asked you to do difficult things where that kind of trust was needed? It’s so easy to say yes to God, but when He actually expects to see you do it. Pause and think on that for a minute.

I remember a pastor friend of mine saying, “If you haven’t heard God speak to you recently, go back to the last thing He asked you to do.” You see, obedience is key to hearing the voice of God in your life and walking in the covenant blessings provided. That’s why we teach our children that there are consequences to disobedience, it’s called a paddle. Two stiff swats on the backside puts things back in perspective.

We’re a bit old for spankings, but I just can’t live in silence. I don’t like knowing I’ve displeased him, not for one little moment. I can’t say, “I forgot!” because the Holy Spirits been reminding me. I’ve just chosen to ignore Him because I had other things I needed to do.

Forgive me, Lord. I got busy serving me and forgot I’m not my own anymore. Can we start over, again? Strengthen my resolve to promptly obey because I don’t like the consequences of my lack of action. Mostly, I don’t want to be responsible for holding back your work on the earth. Kingdom come! Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Today, this hour, this very minute, may I hear your voice loud and clear. To Jesus be all honor and glory, amen.

Break The Rules

There was a day when Jesus went to church and saw a man whose hand was crippled. All the Pastors, board members and deacons stood watching to see if Jesus would break the rules and heal the man inside church on Sunday, because that was forbidden. Let’s pick up the story in Mark 3:3-6;

Jesus said to the man with the crippled hand, “Stand up here so that everyone can see you.”
Then Jesus asked the people, “Which is the right thing to do on the Sabbath day: to do good or to do evil? Is it right to save a life or to destroy one?” The people said nothing to answer him.
Jesus looked at the people. He was angry, but he felt very sad because they were so stubborn. He said to the man, “Hold out your hand.” The man held out his hand, and it was healed. Then the Pharisees left and made plans with the Herodians about a way to kill Jesus.

Jesus was always moved with compassion when He saw someone in need. He never allowed rules or laws to stand in the way of doing what He did. John 5:19 Jesus said, “I assure you that the Son can do nothing alone. He does only what he sees his Father doing. The Son does the same things that the Father does.”

Don’t be afraid to break a rule or law that opposes what Jesus did and said to do. Having real relationship with God will clearly show you that He is a good and loving Father. It’s His will that no one be sick or diseased. Why else would He have sacrificed His Son so we could not only be saved, but whole in every area of our lives?

Perhaps if the entire body of Christ would be moved with that kind of compassion, stand in the authority we were given and do what we’ve been instructed to do, there would be less death and more living. Jesus came to not just bring life, but abundant life. Sitting in our homes being safe is not living, it’s being disobedient to what Jesus told us to do.

“Go and make disciples,” He said. Show others by example what unconditional love looks like. Don’t be afraid! You won’t experience the power of God until you step into the power He provided you to walk in. Remember that the Word of God (Jesus) is powerful and He lives in you to do HIS good pleasure.

Pushing The Boundaries,

Trust The Word

So the word of God became a human being and lived among us. We saw his splendour (the splendour as of a father’s only son), full of grace and truth. And it was about him that John stood up and testified, exclaiming: “Here is the one I was speaking about when I said that although he would come after me he would always be in front of me; for he existed before I was born!” Indeed, every one of us has shared in his riches—there is a grace in our lives because of his grace. For while the Law was given by Moses, love and truth came through Jesus Christ. It is true that no one has ever seen God at any time. Yet the divine and only Son, who lives in the closest intimacy with the Father, has made him known. John 1:14-18 Phillips Translation

The Amplified version shows the first part of verse 14; “And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us.” What a visual John gives us here. In the beginning of the chapter, he establishes that Jesus is the Word, that He has been and will always be with God. What transpired is mind boggling. Flesh was wrapped around the Word and came to dwell with us to show us the truth, for it is Truth that makes us free.

Without Truth, we walk blindly through gross darkness, but when Jesus, the Light of the world walks with us, He gives us the light we need to walk through this world. That is why it is vitally important in these times to keep our eyes on Jesus. Stop straining to see into the darkness. Focus on the Light and He will direct our steps.

Jeremiah 29:13 tells us that if we seek Him with all our heart, we will find Him. That is my goal. In a very dark world, I keep my eyes on the brightest light–Jesus. He is faithful and always brings truth and grace to me. If I’m unsure, I ask Him and He answers me. He never withholds from those who ask. He’s not hiding from those who seek Him. He puts Himself in the easiest place to access Him, His Word.

There is no greater fellowship than with the Word. It’s been planted in me and when I need it, there it is! I open my mouth and He fills it with Himself. As I speak His Word, He hears and answers. Paul says, it’s alive and powerful, sharper than a two edged sword. It never stops working! Once it’s sent, it does what it’s sent to do and never returns before it’s finished.

I can rest assured that He who began the work will finish it. He is faithful. He is constant. He is our present help in time of trouble. Nothing is too hard for Him. Sickness bows and trembles at His Word. Lack scurries away at His Word. Demons tremble at His Word. Darkness flees at His Word. Jesus is the Word and I trust in Him. Those who believe and trust in Him will not be ashamed, nor will their enemies triumph over them.

Still Trusting,

Sandy G

Please Pass the Faith!

So faith comes from hearing the message, and the message that is heard is what Christ spoke. Romans 10:17 GW Translation

Faith, then, is birthed in a heart that responds to God’s anointed utterance of the Anointed One. The Passion Translation

In 2017, I had a dream that I was in a small room with some great men and women of faith. These were people who I consider my mentors, because I’ve listened to their teaching for years. I began asking them questions, just seeking to know if I was on the right track with my thinking about faith. Each time I’d ask something, they would answer me with the Word.

I suddenly realized they weren’t actually moving their lips, it was the Holy Spirit who was answering me. Then as one man looked at me and smiled, I heard, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” Instantly I knew what that meant. Paul wasn’t being redundant when he said that. He was telling us that it was the Word that speaks.

It goes beyond hearing with our natural ears. We can read the same verse hundreds of times and we’ll be like, yeah, I understand. Then as you meditate on it, suddenly the Spirit speaks through that Word and it takes on new meaning. That is to say, the Word of God is something that continues to speak to us in various ways, depending on what we’re experiencing. It’s applicable in different ways at different times.

We have each been given a measure of faith but it’s our responsibility to grow that faith. If you are given a seed but don’t plant it, don’t expect it to grow. Start where you are and plant your seed. Expect the unexpected. Find the Word of promise, water it, spend time nourishing it, weed out the doubt and unbelief and watch it grow.

“Faith is the confidence (full trust) that what we hope (the feeling that what is wanted can be had) for will actually happen; it gives us assurance (positive declaration that brings confidence) about things we cannot see.” Hebrews 11:1

Let patience grow in you as you consistently speak over your seed. Mark 11:24 says that if you believe you receive when you ask, you will have it. Just like a baby ready to be birthed, it’s in you. You are pregnant with promise.

Father, this morning I just want to ask You to put miracle grow on my faith. I know that what I speak will come to pass because I truly believe. Help we to constantly and consistently water my faith with Your Word. May I inspire others to stand on the Word that’s alive in them. If You said it, You will do it! You’ve given Your Word. It’s in Jesus’ name and for Your glory alone. Amen

Watching My Seed,

Sandy G
