Now Isaac pleaded with the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; and the Lord granted his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived. Genesis 25:21

At age 40, Isaac prayed for Rebekah womb to be open to bear children. He was 60 when she gave birth to twins. For 20 years he believed God for his children, just as he learned from his father Abraham, he waited to receive the promise.

Jacob loved Rachel from the moment he lay eyes on her when she came to the well to water her father sheep. But her daddy had other plans and tricked Jacob into taking Leah, his oldest daughter first. He had to work another 7 years for Rachel and isn’t it funny how she was unable to bear children as well. There was nothing he could do in the natural, but when Rachel called out to the Lord, He opened her womb and she bore him a son, Joseph.

Whatever you’re waiting for know this, what God has promised will come to pass. It doesn’t matter the amount of time that passes, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, for He is faithful who has promised. It may be a child, a husband, a ministry, a manifestation of healing, a president……the list is endless. But the same God who created all things is well able to do this for you.

Waiting isn’t easy! Especially when injustice has taken place. But God has a plan and the glory He will receive when it happens will blow your mind. Trust Him and His timing, He really sees more than you do. You’re trying to drive in a blizzard and can’t see where you’re going, but God does. Stop trying to make it happen and surrender to the Lord. He will lead and direct your steps.
