Positioned With Purpose

And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said, among the remnant whom the Lord calls. Joel 2:28-32

Oh remnant friend, this world is not your home, so don’t be comfortable here. Your commission has always been to seek out and save the lost, the dying, the broken and downtrodden. To share the good news of the Kingdom. To heal the sick and raise the dead, to love as the Father. He demonstrated His love to you when He gave His only son to redeem you.

You were not left orphaned, He gave you His Spirit. That deposit within you made you powerful. But it wasn’t to hold it in or keep it to yourself. It was to share! You’ve been positioned in the Kingdom for this time in history.

Wake up, oh remnant bride. Wake up and trim your lamps. Be full of oil and burn bright, for this is the time for you to shine in the earth.

Remember, your Groom awaits you. He’s gone to prepare a place for you and will return for you again. Don’t let Him find you unprepared and uncovered. Find refuge in His love. Let Him become your covering.

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:5

When The Storm Runs Out of Breath

Late that day he (Jesus) said to them, “Let’s go across to the other side.” They took him in the boat as he was. Other boats came along. A huge storm came up. Waves poured into the boat, threatening to sink it. And Jesus was in the stern, head on a pillow, sleeping! They roused him, saying, “Teacher, is it nothing to you that we’re going down?”

Awake now, he told the wind to pipe down and said to the sea, “Quiet! Settle down!” The wind ran out of breath; the sea became smooth as glass. Jesus reprimanded the disciples: “Why are you such cowards? Don’t you have any faith at all?”

They were in absolute awe, staggered. “Who is this, anyway?” they asked. “Wind and sea at his beck and call!” Mark 4:35-41 Message

Is there anyone out there that just wonders, ‘what the heck’s going on?’ You’re enjoying time with the Lord, everything is going well at home. Finances are great, your job is going well. Shoot, you even have money in the bank. For the first time in years, you actually feel like you’ve got yourself together and then the storm hits.

Out of nowhere, it says a huge storm came up and waves poured into the boat. Now THAT would be scary for anyone! But they called on Jesus. Perhaps out of fear, but they still called on Jesus. Maybe their faith wasn’t up right then, but they still called out to Jesus.

Do you get the picture here? It doesn’t matter what you’re facing today, call out to Jesus. We tend to go to Him last when we should come to Him first, but nevertheless, call out to Him now.

Jesus, I’m sorry I took my eyes off You and I’m sinking right now, but I know that if You take my hand, we can walk on the water together. Jesus, You told me not to let my heart be troubled or afraid, but I confess to You, I’m afraid! Yet You said to come to You when I’m weary and heavy laden and You’d give me rest.

Jesus, the storm looks so bad! The water is filling the boat and I feel I’m sinking, nevertheless, I will speak to my storm, PEACE, BE STILL! And I know the wind will cease because You said that it would obey me if I don’t doubt.

Jesus, thank You for the Holy Spirit You gave to me so that I would have the power needed to do what I need to do for You. Thank You for shifting my focus from what I see in the natural to what I see in YOUR natural. I am more than a conqueror. Your hand is on me for purpose-YOURS, and I can do all things because You give me strength. It’s in Your name I pray this, Amen.

Battles Are Won Here First

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14

I love this prayer that David prayed. He seemed to know that it wasn’t just the words of his mouth that God hears, but also what he meditated on. Jesus said it like this in Luke 6:45, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”

I wonder if David would have won all those battles if he constantly thought he would be defeated? I wonder if every time he became discouraged, waiting for the promised throne, if he remembered being brought up from the fields that one day that Samuel the prophet came to his house to anoint him as the next king of Israel.

Even as I read the Psalms, I hear David crying out because of his troubles, then remembering that God is God, He is mighty to save and deliver. Regardless of what he endured, His focus changed from his problems to His God who is able.

It became such a pattern in his life that in three separate passages, Psalm 42:5, 11 and Psalm 43:5, we hear him say the same words, “Why am I so sad? Why am I so upset? I tell myself, “Wait for God’s help! You will again be able to praise him, your God, the one who will save you.” (ERV) He knew there would be times we would think wrong and be tempted to doubt, but he told himself to do the right thing, trust in the Lord.

Perhaps you’re facing a challenge or a downright, knock down, drag out battle. You’ve been in it for awhile now. Perhaps years have gone by and you still haven’t seen a change in your situation. You’re weary and you don’t know how much longer you can hold out. You’ve faced things before, but this seems different, like something’s out to pull you under. You’re tempted to end it all, then you remember the Word that is near you, even in your mouth.

You begin to fortify your mind, “Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world.” “No weapon formed against me will prosper and every tongue that rises against me will be condemned. It’s my heritage as a servant of the Lord!” “When the enemy comes in, like a flood the Spirit of the Lord raises a standard against him.” “A thousand will fall on my right side and ten thousand at my left but it will NOT come near me. Only with my eyes will I see it for I am safely tucked under the shadow of the Almighty’s wings. Do you hear that, devil? You can’t find me cause I’m hidden by God!”

Suddenly you feel stronger, like you could run to the finish line. He sustains you, child of God. He will never leave you, my dear friend. Stop focusing on your weaknesses and focus on the mighty God that is in you. Yes, this same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead, lives in you to make you strong, regardless of your age or physical demeanor. You can do this! Don’t quit now, just change your thinking and your words.

Father, thank you for being the rock I stand on that cannot be moved. Thank you for strengthening me for the assignment you’ve given me. Thank you that I can do all things because you give me the mindset and words to accomplish anything. I will never have to do it alone for You are always with me. Your rod of correction and Your staff of direction always comfort me, knowing that I can never go far from Your presence. Thanks for reminding me that I am Your daughter, therefore I win. It’s in Jesus’ name I ask for Your strength this day. Amen

Exposed!

The world can’t hate you, but it does me, for I am exposing their evil deeds. John 7:7

I was reading John 6 and 7 this morning simply because I love reading about Jesus. These chapters were about how Jesus was challenged by religious leaders, misunderstood, even rejected by many of his own followers.

He had just fed 5000 plus, just walked on the water, but when He spoke truth, the evil in them couldn’t handle the disruption in their minds. He tried to show them that the only way to God was through His sacrifice, but they didn’t see it that way.

“I speak to you living truth: Unite your heart to me and believe—and you will experience eternal life!  I am the true Bread of Life. Your ancestors ate manna in the desert and died.  But standing here before you is the true Bread that comes out of heaven, and when you eat this Bread you will never die.  I alone am this living Bread that has come to you from heaven. Eat this Bread and you will live forever. The living Bread I give you is my body, which I will offer as a sacrifice so that all may live.” John 6:47-51

I see this still happening today. Hatred, slander, murder and mayhem ensues whenever an attempt is made to open people up to a deep seeded truth. It’s as if evil is an entity and doesn’t like being uncovered. Could it be?

Could it be that Jesus started what we were meant to finish?

“Just remember, when the unbelieving world hates you, they first hated me.” John 15:18

Maybe, just maybe that’s the reason Holy Spirit led me to decree this year, “Eye’s open! Ears open! Open the eyes of those blinded! Expose evil!” Perhaps that’s why the exposure of evil in the earth is happening right now and those who have eyes to see and ears to hear are open to the truth.

I have decided that the only way to be free from darkness is to expose it to the light. Who is the Light of the world? Jesus. And who lives in me? Jesus. So I will continue to do what He started, because He who began a good work in me will be faithful to finish it.

In the words of Paul as he told King Agrippa what Jesus said to him in his conversion story found in Acts 26; “And you will open their eyes to their true condition, so that they may turn from darkness to the Light and from the power of Satan to the power of God. By placing their faith in me they will receive the total forgiveness of sins and be made holy, taking hold of the inheritance that I give to my children!’”

Exposing Truth,

Your Life is a Result of Your Thinking

My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen to my words. Never let them get away from you. Remember them and keep them in your heart. They will give life and health to anyone who understands them. Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts. Proverbs 4:20-23

How many know that when you continually think a certain way, it forms habits that are hard to break? This can work for both good things and bad things. Sin isn’t something that happens overnight. No, it’s something you’ve thought about.

God was very clear about our thought life. I can quote so many verses that talk about this very thing; “As a man thinks, so is he.” “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.” “Fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable.”

Part of Gods instruction to Joshua was; Be sure that the book of the Law is always read in your worship. Study it day and night, and make sure that you obey everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Joshua 1:8 GNT

I will make my way prosperous and successful! How, by filling my mind with Gods Word. By thinking on His Word constantly. I call it ‘super-infused’ with the Word. I will only have available to my mouth, the things I put in my heart. I can pray for wisdom till I’m blue in the face, but until I renew my mind, nothing will change.

If you want to know why your life is a mess, go to the Word for a check-up. If your body isn’t lining up with the Word, ask yourself what you’re thinking on. If you’re constantly fearful, begin finding scripture on the peace of God and type them up, read them every day until your mind is renewed and your confidence in God is secure.

God has done everything He will ever do for us to guarantee our success in life. If you’re looking for your life to change dramatically, begin by reading the Word. Make it the focus of your attention. Make it a priority and watch how things shift in your thinker.

Always Thinking,

Sandy G

Highest Beam

All we are is messengers, errand runners from Jesus for you. It started when God said, “Light up the darkness!” and our lives filled up with light as we saw and understood God in the face of Christ, all bright and beautiful. 2 Corinthians 4:6-7 Message

How do we possess that kind of light? By sitting in the presence of a mighty God and asking Him to reveal Himself to us through His Word. When we understand and use His Word, we are using the treasure in us.

Lets not hide our treasure, but let us declare the Word in our daily lives, over our families, our church, our neighborhoods. We must be light. Our lamps will only burn when they are filled with the oil of the Holy Spirit. Our lights will only be seen when we turn up the flame.

The time has come to let your light shine that it may glorify our Father. Come on! Be a glow stick, that every person on the face of the earth may see us burn.

Until Next Time,

Revelation Creates Miracles

You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38 NASB

Jesus told the people: I tell you for certain that the Son cannot do anything on his own. He can do only what he sees the Father doing, and he does exactly what he sees the Father do. John 5:19 CEV

What enabled Jesus to do all those miracles? He had a revelation of the Father. We have to remember that Jesus, although divinely conceived, left all His super powers behind and came in the form of a tiny human. He had to learn of God just as we do.

The journey He took to miracles in His ministry, is the same journey we must take. It’s a life of surrendered purpose. It’s an infilling of the Spirit of God, a contending for our identify (40 days in the wilderness). It’s learning to not just talk to God, but listen to Him.

It’s knowing when to step back and exchange perspectives. To allow the wisdom of Holy Spirit to lead you to a place of truth that nothing or no one can push you off from that solid knowledge.

Here’s the summary of miracles: when you know who your Father is and His ability to back you up, there’s nothing, absolutely nothing impossible for you. NOTHING!

Our problem seems to be that we want the miracles, but we don’t want to spend the necessary time getting to know God the way Jesus did. It was the same with the Children of Israel, they wanted to know God on a surface level, not on a personal level as Moses did.

Think of that the next time you see someone who needs a miracle. Imagine how things around you would shift simply in the knowledge of who you are. Trust in the God who is in you.

Until Tomorrow,

He’ll Do it Again

There are times in life where circumstances seem to dictate the outcomes. But God wants you to know that what He did before, He will do it again.

In Mark 11:22, Jesus was able to say to us, whoever will say to that mountain be removed and cast into the sea, and will not doubt in his heart, but will believe that what he says will come to pass, he will have whatsoever he says. How was it Jesus was able to say that? Because he had already seen his Father do it time and time again.

The Bible shows us that Jesus was there when the Earth was created. He saw what God was capable of doing. Some of us need to get our eyes off of our own resources and get them on to God’s resources. If God is asking you to give something that is well beyond your own means, that means he wants you to trust him for it.

You see knowing God in your mind puts limits on him. But knowing God in your heart, that’s a whole nother story. That takes faith and trust to a different level.

For 7-days, Joshua and the children of Israel marched around Jericho. They didn’t see anything happen on the first day. They didn’t see anything happen on the 2nd 3rd or 4th day, but they continued to circle every day through the 7th Day simply because God told them to do it. It was on the 7th day that those walls came crashing down. Not only did the children of Israel take the city, but God established a hedge of protection around them for future battles.

You see, when God asks you to do something unusual, He’s not just thinking about your now, He’s thinking about your future. Today’s seed becomes your future Harvest. My dear friend, if God is asking you to plant an astronomical seed today, please know that He has your future blessing in mind. Don’t hesitate to do what God is asking you to do even when you don’t understand where it’s going to come from, commit to do what He tells you to do and He will provide seed to the sower and bread to the eater.

He’ll do it again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again. Get it? Never doubt it! His storehouses are bigger than you can even imagine!

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G

Who Are We to Question God?

I was led to read the last few chapters of Job this morning. I know, right? Job 38-42, where God speaks and man shuts up. It reminded me of how God’s wisdom is so unexplainably great and ours is so puny that it doesn’t even show on the same scale.

We do this, don’t we? Question God like He has no idea what He’s doing in the earth. Silly us! How can we be so full of ourselves to think we know the mind of God, His plans and purposes. Instead we should be laying on our faces asking for Him to show us mercy and grace in our time of need.

Job answered God:

“I’m convinced: You can do anything and everything.
Nothing and no one can upset your plans.
You asked, ‘Who is this muddying the water,
ignorantly confusing the issue, second-guessing my purposes?’
I admit it. I was the one. I babbled on about things far beyond me,
made small talk about wonders way over my head.
You told me, ‘Listen, and let me do the talking.
Let me ask the questions. You give the answers.’
I admit I once lived by rumors of you;
now I have it all firsthand—from my own eyes and ears!
I’m sorry—forgive me. I’ll never do that again, I promise!
I’ll never again live on crusts of hearsay, crumbs of rumor.” Job 42:1-6 Message Bible

Perhaps this is the stance we should take today as we hold out judgement of such a great God who alone created everything, and still knows our name. He knows every hair on our head and loves us enough to give His son to die and redeem us back to Himself, so that we can commune with Him. Perhaps we should stop focusing on ourselves and just place our trust in the God who holds the worlds in place with His word.

Thank You Father God that You indeed love us and have such great plans for us. We give You all the praise, glory and honor for You alone are worthy. We worship You and place our total trust in You. We humbly thank You that we belong to You and trust Your plans. It’s in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G

The Big Give & Take

So give yourselves to God. Stand against the devil, and he will run away from you. James 4:7

There are two things I see here; one, we are to give ourselves to God. Some translations say submit, but both words denote complete surrender. No more me, me, me, but what can I do for You, Father.

The second is something we must do–stand against the devil. He does NOT go away quietly and leave you alone. ‘Oh, sorry, I forgot you gave yourself to God!’ will NEVER come out of his mouth. He will try everything he can to try to get you back, but if you keep resisting, he will run away like the chicken he is.

You ask how do I know these things? Because I submitted my life to God and not a day goes by that Satan doesn’t try to discourage me, lie to me, and try to cheat me out of what’s mine. It is a constant battle in my mind, but the more familiar I am with God’s Word, the easier it is to use that Word as a weapon to put him in his place.

And here’s another key, the more I testify of what God’s done for me, the more I tick the devil off. Every opportunity I get, I share with others what God’s done for me. I teach the truth of God’s Word so that others may see and walk in the same freedom.

Know the Word so you have the right tools to resist with. Satan will run away, but be prepared and keep resisting. Stay submitted to God, His plans are more important and rewarding than any of your own. Be ready to be messed with! Just because you submit to God doesn’t mean a life of ease, it means ‘game on’ devil. GAME ON!

Stand Strong,

Sandy G
