The world can’t hate you, but it does me, for I am exposing their evil deeds. John 7:7
I was reading John 6 and 7 this morning simply because I love reading about Jesus. These chapters were about how Jesus was challenged by religious leaders, misunderstood, even rejected by many of his own followers.
He had just fed 5000 plus, just walked on the water, but when He spoke truth, the evil in them couldn’t handle the disruption in their minds. He tried to show them that the only way to God was through His sacrifice, but they didn’t see it that way.
“I speak to you living truth: Unite your heart to me and believe—and you will experience eternal life! I am the true Bread of Life. Your ancestors ate manna in the desert and died. But standing here before you is the true Bread that comes out of heaven, and when you eat this Bread you will never die. I alone am this living Bread that has come to you from heaven. Eat this Bread and you will live forever. The living Bread I give you is my body, which I will offer as a sacrifice so that all may live.” John 6:47-51
I see this still happening today. Hatred, slander, murder and mayhem ensues whenever an attempt is made to open people up to a deep seeded truth. It’s as if evil is an entity and doesn’t like being uncovered. Could it be?
Could it be that Jesus started what we were meant to finish?
“Just remember, when the unbelieving world hates you, they first hated me.” John 15:18
Maybe, just maybe that’s the reason Holy Spirit led me to decree this year, “Eye’s open! Ears open! Open the eyes of those blinded! Expose evil!” Perhaps that’s why the exposure of evil in the earth is happening right now and those who have eyes to see and ears to hear are open to the truth.
I have decided that the only way to be free from darkness is to expose it to the light. Who is the Light of the world? Jesus. And who lives in me? Jesus. So I will continue to do what He started, because He who began a good work in me will be faithful to finish it.
In the words of Paul as he told King Agrippa what Jesus said to him in his conversion story found in Acts 26; “And you will open their eyes to their true condition, so that they may turn from darkness to the Light and from the power of Satan to the power of God. By placing their faith in me they will receive the total forgiveness of sins and be made holy, taking hold of the inheritance that I give to my children!’”
