Everything Fits

th

He was supreme in the beginning and—leading the resurrection parade—he is supreme in the end. From beginning to end he’s there, towering far above everything, everyone. So spacious is he, so roomy, that everything of God finds its proper place in him without crowding. Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universe—people and things, animals and atoms—get properly fixed and fit together in vibrant harmonies, all because of his death, his blood that poured down from the cross. Colossians 1:18-20 Message

I love that everything and everyone fits in God’s plan, even the broken and dislocated things have a place. Your life may look like a chaotic mess, but look at the stars. What appears to the naked eye as a mess is in no means a mess at all. Your ‘mess’ is merely a message developing, a story in process of being told, and what a story it will be.

And as I look at His Word come alive and watch as His purpose’s unfold around me, I’m challenged to look at things differently. Instead of judging by what I can physically see and feel, I’m asking God to show me the side that’s not seen. The side that only His Spirit can reveal to my spirit as I spend time in His presence.

Knowing that I was given that same ability to call those things that aren’t yet seen, into this flesh realm was so inspiring, that I began to write and speak over dull and void areas of my life. Things that appeared broken and dislocated pieces of my life, I spoke life and vitality into them. Just as Father told Ezekiel to speak to dry bones, I’m speaking dead things to life.

Empty bank accounts to be full and reproduce. Relationships that are dead, come to life. Properties, gold, silver, gems, wealth of all types, come with the wisdom to use it properly to build His Kingdom on the earth. Dead things in our body, sickness, disease, respond with life abundantly to the full till it overflows.

Oh, it’s gonna be a GREAT day today. Old things are passed away and ALL things are made new.

Until Next Time,

You Can Do It!

Unknown-1

No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Philippians 3:13-14 NLT

The most beautiful place to live is in your now, not your past. One thing about the past-it’s just that-past. You can’t go back and change it, nor should you ever be comfortable living there.

I’ve watched so many people held captive by decisions they made that they were ashamed of and those around them, refused to allow them to escape. Each time they would venture out to try something new, someone would remind them, “Remember what happened last time!” That fear of failure or making a mistake froze them out of freedom they so desired.

If you only see me as ‘that’ person in ‘that’ place with ‘those’ problems, here’s a news flash–I’m no longer there, I’ve moved on.  I had a friend who would drag up my past each time I was with her. I nicely reminded her that I was no longer that person and unless she could see me for who I was today and help me into my future, we had no basis for relationship.

I wasn’t mean about it, I said it with a smile on my face and as much love as I could muster up. It doesn’t matter who it is, sister, brother, father, mother or long time friend, if they’re not cheering you on, they’re holding you back. You can’t get far looking in the rear view mirror. Focus forward my friend!

We’re all running a race that’s unique to us. You can’t copy mine and I can’t copy yours, but we can encourage one another along the way. That’s my goal when sharing my blogs, I’m hoping that it will encourage you to keep Jesus as your prize and run, even when  you’re being chased by the devil himself. Don’t keep looking back to where you came from. Every day is a do-over and your Heavenly Father has great plans for you.

Focus on Jesus!

Spirit Tugging

images

My eyes are awake through the night watches, that I may meditate on Your word. Psalm 119:148

1-18-12 Journal Entry:

“It’s time to get the attention of those slumbering. Awake I say, Awake! Stop living in your comforts and ease, your spiritual laziness is keeping you from the readiness you need to be in. I’m releasing promise. I’m releasing vision. I’m releasing a multitude of giftings, but so few are paying attention.

“Awake, daughter of Zion. Awake from your slumber. Get your lamps trimmed and filled for the day has come, the marriage supper is being prepared. Do you sense the longing in you? Do you not sense it? Prepare yourself to receive what I’m pouring out on the earth, for in due season, you will reap if you faint not says the Lord.”

Perhaps you’ve heard the call, the tugging on your spirit to come away and be with Him, your beloved Savior. There’s an old song I used to sing called, “I Miss My Time With You.” It goes like this: “I miss my time with you, those moments together. I need to be with you each day and it hurts me when you say, you’re too busy, busy trying to serve me, but how can you serve me when your spirits empty. There’s a longing in my soul, wanting more than just a part of you. It’s true, I miss my time with you.”

I used to make up every excuse in the book, but the bottom line was, I didn’t know the value in spending time with God. I didn’t realize it would change me so, give me this much strength. I’ve always loved God, always had relationship with him, almost always served him, but my friend, until you’re intimate with someone, you’re not one with them and that is what God wants. He wants you to be one with him.

Revelation 22:17 says, “And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.”

What will your response be? Excuse me while I run into His open arms of love and am swept away in His presence.

Until Tomorrow

New Beginnings

Unknown-1

He was supreme in the beginning and—leading the resurrection parade—he is supreme in the end. From beginning to end he’s there, towering far above everything, everyone. So spacious is he, so roomy, that everything of God finds its proper place in him without crowding. Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universe—people and things, animals and atoms—get properly fixed and fit together in vibrant harmonies, all because of his death, his blood that poured down from the cross. Colossians 1:18-20 Message

New beginnings don’t always mean a do-over, a new city, new job or new wardrobe. A new beginning simply means I’m ready to let go of what was and focus on what is to come. It’s acknowledging that God is supreme in the beginning and the end regardless of what things look like or feel like.

I can’t take my old mindset with me into New Beginningsville. Every morning when I rise, I thank God for a new beginning. It’s a new day! What happened yesterday won’t repeat itself unless I allow it to and I don’t plan on going down that road again.

I expect God to show up again. I expect provision. I expect health. I expect blessings. I expect protection. I expect that I shall have what I believe in my heart and speak with my mouth. I expect the devil was defeated and needs to be constantly reminded. I expect you to read this and say, OMG, will she stop going on and on already! LOL It’s ok! I expect not everyone gets me but I expect God does.

Taking The Plunge

images

While all the people were being immersed, Yeshua too was immersed. As he was praying, heaven was opened; the Ruach HaKodesh came down on him in physical form like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, “You are my Son, whom I love; I am well pleased with you.” Luke 3:21-22 CJB

Baptism is being immersed, plunged or sunk into water. It’s the act of complete submission or surrendering what was, for what will be. This seemed pleasing to Father God, for He sent His Holy Spirit with a message; my translation is, “I see what you did right there and I accept the offer. You’re all mine and I love you!”

And what better way to show His love but to immerse Jesus in the very presence of the Holy Spirit, the 3rd part of the trinity who He left when He came to earth. Right there, He received power from on high to complete His mission on the earth. And in Acts 1:8, Jesus told us we would receive that same baptism and in Acts 2:4 it happened and has been happening ever since.

There are two things to be aware of when you’re baptized in water; you are made clean and everything is washed away. Emptied of all, you become a recipient of everything He has for you. He fills you with His strength, peace, love, mercy, and grace. When you allow yourself to empty, it’s not you who ministers, but Christ through you.

So let’s get this right this morning. Let us not come to God full of ourselves, but emptied and poured out so that the Spirit of God in us can do as He’s planned.

All my worship is Yours this morning, Father. My heart overflows with love for You. Gracious, faithful, all knowing, all powerful, holy and mighty God. Saturate me. Wash over me. Fill me up with more of You. I’m not satisfied with visiting You at church once or twice a week. I MUST have more of You! Without You, I am incapable, but with You I can do all things. I plug into You, my power source this morning. I will be sensitive to Your voice leading and directing. Yes Lord, You direct my life, not me. I am a member of Your body but You are the head. It’s in Jesus’ name, Amen

Until Tomorrow,

What Abundance Looks Like

images

And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity. II Corinthians 9:8 AMP

Abundance; an extremely plentiful or oversufficient quantity or supply

You were never meant to be broke; God is your Provider. You were never meant to be sick; God is your Healer. You were never meant to be fearful; God is your Protector. You were never meant to be alone; God is with you. Your husband is His. Your children are His. Your life is His. He is God and there is no other. If He is for you, who can be against you? Won’t you just take a moment and thank Him? He’s been all this and more to you.

Here we are trying to do it all by ourselves and God has already provided every favor, every earthly blessing, every miracle needed and every way of escape. He’s placed it all inside of us, easy to access, He simply wants us to trust Him. Think about that for a moment. How drastically would your life change if you really believed that verse? You wouldn’t sweat it, you’d simply believe and trust Him for direction as you move in obedience to His leading.

That abundance He’s speaking of isn’t just for you. No, it’s for those you come into contact with. You see, they need what you have inside of you, they just don’t know they need it yet. But if you will allow God to be big in you, the overflow from you will cause them to desire to cuddle up to Father as you’ve learned to. Don’t hoard the abundance, be a giver as God has been to you.

Father, so many times I just wanted to be in control and I’ve messed things up so much. I repent of my self-sufficiency. What was I thinking? That I had enough wisdom in myself to make it all happen? I realize now that everything in my life was designed to develop total trust in You.

So today, I submit and surrender to You. Be the author and finisher of my faith. You have given my access to You by giving my Your Holy Spirit to counsel me, instruct me and direct my steps. It’s He who keeps me healthy and strong, balanced and walking in love and forgiveness. I acknowledge my need to partner with You in everything I do. You are the only wise one and I need to have relationship with You so that every other relationship my benefit from ours.

Father, You are amazing beyond words, even beyond my ability to comprehend. Therefore I will place my hope and trust in You. I will not give up and quit. I know that You hear every word I speak and are attentive to my very whispers, so I will remind You of Your promises to never leave me or forsake me. I know You will deliver on Your promises in due time as I continue to place my hand in Yours. It’s in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Until Next Time,

Sandy G

Mercy’s Kiss

images

Ask, and the gift is yours. Seek, and you’ll discover. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. For every persistent one will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he longs for. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door. Matthew 7:7-8 TPT

Long ago and far away, a child stood outside a home looking through an open window, watching as a family sat laughing and talking over dinner. She was tired and hungry, having narrowly escaped capture by the Germans. Memories of similar times with her family flooded through her and she softly began to weep.

“What’s the worst that could happen if I knocked?” Capture, prison or death. “What’s the best that could happen if I knocked?” Shelter, food and safety.

Often we think the worst, when really what is waiting on the other side is so much better than we could imagine. Jesus said to ask and we’d receive. Seek and discover. Knock and the door would swing wide open.

I love this passage from Hebrews 4:16; So now we come freely and boldly to where love is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.

Ask-Don’t ask small! Ask big! Think of the vast supply that awaits you on the other side of that door. That supply He has is bigger than you could ever imagine in a hundred years. He’s listening.

Seek-He said that those who seek Him will find Him if they seek Him with all their heart. That is passionate seeking. Like looking for your car keys when you’re running late for work. Like hunting for your drivers license when you’ve been pulled over for speeding.

Knock-You’ll never gain entrance if you don’t. He’s waiting on the other side, head leaning on the door, willing you to knock. Everything you need is in Him. Everything you want is in Him. Shelter, food and safety. Peace, love and joy. An extended family who just like you, obtained the courage to knock.

Jesus, I come to You asking for help. I need to know You. To know everything about You and find shelter in the middle of the mess my life is in. I believe in You and want to trust in the grace you offer. I come freely and boldly to where Your Love is enthroned, to receive Mercy’s kiss and discover the grace I need in my time of weakness. It’s in Your name I pray, Amen.

Until Tomorrow

Pleasuring In His Presence

images

You will show me the path that leads to life; your presence fills me with joy and brings me pleasure forever. Psalm 16:11 GNT

Spending time with God will show you the path that leads to life, fill you with joy and bring you pleasure. Who wouldn’t want this? Yet so many of us allow our own agenda to dictate the time we sit before the Lord. If you’re needing answers in life, you’ll never find them from people, only from God.

Don’t be so consumed with life that you forget the life giver. You may not hear the answer right away, you may not even hear the answer you want, but what you will hear is the voice of your loving Father directing you through the maze you’re in, one step at a time.

I have found that pleasure in His presence and there’s no place I’d rather be. If I could, I would just sit here for hours, never leaving, ever. But as I’ve consistently done this over the years, I’ve found it’s not about a place or set time, it’s about being aware that His presence never leaves me because—–He’s in me.

Having that awareness has caused me to hear His whisper in the car, at the store, mowing my yard and even while I’m at work. And good news, He’s no respecter of persons. If you’ll tune in, you will hear. God loves to have fellowship with you, that’s the whole reason He created you in the first place.

The key to hearing is learning to listen with my heart, not your head. There’s not much in my head that has value apart from God. I feel He’s the missing ingredient in some of the stupid things I do. There are times I think, “Wow, that would have gone differently if I’d just asked the Holy Spirit first.” But in my hurry to get something done I have completely missed it at times.

Father, forgive me for racing away, being anxious, thinking wrong thoughts. Help me to focus on You and Your Word in all I do and say. And Lord, may You find pleasure in Your time with me as much as I find pleasuring in You. Amen

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G

Who’s In You?

Unknown-1

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:11 KJV

This is such a powerful truth that I feel God wants us to get, not just in our head, but in our heart! I have heard this and read this hundreds of thousands of time over my life span, but it has taken wings in my spirit today. Seems this is the onion He’s been consistently peeling for me over the past few weeks.

I’m pretty sure that if you’re alive and breathing, you can relate to the whole ‘mortal bodies’ that are decaying piece by piece and day by day. There are days that the pain in my knees scream for attention and I just scream back, “In the name of Jesus and by His shed blood, I am healed!” And I get pretty tired of the fight sometimes! Because trust me, it is a fight of faith and regardless of what Paul said, it’s not always a ‘good’ fight.

But guess what? My feelings don’t negate the truth of God’s Word. My spirit is infused with the Spirit of the Living God and if that same Spirit lives in me, it’s a done deal! He will bring life to my body. My tired, worn body is revitalized by His Spirit that lives in me.

One thing is required of me—-BELIEVE. It’s not for me to question or doubt but rather to believe. He said all things are possible to those who believe so regardless, I believe. I will believe until my body receives the message that my spirit is bigger than any problem I face. My spirit trumps my flesh every time and NOTHING can convince me otherwise. Not a doctors report. Not my bank account. Not my aches and pains. Nothing that’s missing or broken in me can convince me it’s permanent, because only God’s Word is that!

The same power that raised Christ from the dead dwells in (your name) and quickens my mortal body. That word, quicken means; accelerate, stimulate, revive, restore life to, to give or restore vigor or activity to, stir up, rouse, become alive, receive life. You read this out loud over yourself so your ears hear it and let faith arise, because that’s covenant!

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G

Over My Head

images-1

Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone to know it! Colossians 1:27 TPT

We scratched the surface of this last week in ‘Guest or Owner’, but I just can’t get it out of my mind. I suppose that’s what David meant in Psalm 1:2, “His pleasure and passion is remaining true to the Word of “I Am,” meditating day and night in the true revelation of light.”

I believe there is a shift in the body of Christ. I’m running into so many believers who are waking up to the realization of what they possess. It’s not merely a good word any longer, it’s a mighty living force, actively working to bring us into position so that we may be who He created us to be in the earth.

I’m sure many of you remember the old hymn, “There is power, power, wonder working power, in the blood of the Lamb.” That is exactly what flows through your veins, the blood of Jesus flows through you. Each time God looks at you, He sees Jesus. He doesn’t see your sin, He sees forgiveness. He doesn’t see weak, He sees strong.

It’s embedded in us! His Spirit lives in us, and the power we need to walk in the fullness of that comes through meditating or marinating in the Word. Asking Holy Spirit to show you more is what relationship or mentoring looks like. He wants to be your mentor. To lead you into ALL truth. It doesn’t have to be a ‘leftover’ meal from someone else. He wants to give it to you from His table.

Father, You want everyone to know You, intimately and completely. There’s not one thing You will withhold from those who love You. What a treasure You are. Each time I sit in Your presence there’s something new I discover. And it’s unending! It just keeps coming and coming, more and more, deeper and deeper, up over my head until I’m drowning in You. To each one reading this today, reveal the treasure they carry. It’s in Jesus’ name and all for Your glory, Amen.

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G
