Have you ever looked back over your life and thought, what a convoluted mess? It’s like somebody tossed a ball of yarn into a windstorm. There’s no coming back from that.

I’ve recently been thinking about the story of Joseph and how his coat of many colors ended up creating a colossal mess. He had dreams that only God could give and when he shared them with his brothers, it stirred up such jealousy that they threw him in a pit and ended up selling him into slavery.

Sold to Potiphar, one of Pharoahs officers (another plot twist), proved himself right into running his household until Potiphars wife didn’t get what she wanted and accused Joseph of rape which ended with him being thrown into prison.

But God caused him to find favor with the warden and Joseph was given the run of all the prisoners. Read it for yourself. Genesis 37-42 shows how God orchestrated that whole story.

All that slavery and prison job, was actually a training period to prepare him to run a country. Not that I would have done it that way, but I’m not God, am I.

So even when that ball of yarn looks unfixable, God has purpose and turns it around. He can find the end and make it look better than it did from the beginning.

One thing I have learned is that His ways are not my ways, neither are His thoughts my thoughts. I am definitely thankful for that as is anyone who knows me well. If there’s any possibility of screwing up Gods plans, I am a fixer. LOL

So if all you see is a mess right now, God’s still workin on it. It’s not over until He says it’s over. Just stand with your chin up, eyes fixed on Him. Watch for opportunities to shine light in dark places and freely show love. Trust Him regardless of what you’re feeling and be thankful.
