What an appropriate verse for the day we live in. It seems every day, our peace is disturbed as we watch endless acts of violence on the news. Unlike the English word “peace”, “shalom” does not just mean peace of mind, but also wholeness for your entire being — spirit, soul and body. It means having a sense of completeness and soundness. In other words, shalom encompasses your prosperity, health and total well-being.

When God steps into the middle of your problems, you allow His shalom to come. Just leave it to God to add so much more to the simple word–peace. He doesn’t just give us a nice feeling of euphoria. He completes us.

I once heard the definition of shalom as nothing missing or broken. Wow, I don’t know about you, but I needed that word today. He doesn’t just heal part way, He doesn’t provide just enough, if we speak His peace over our situations, we can expect WHOLENESS, COMPLETENESS, NOTHING MISSING OR BROKEN.

Glory, glory, glory to God in the highest, and on Earth, peace goodwill toward men! Lets remind our bodies of that. Lets remind our finances of that. Lest we forget whose we are, let’s rest in the complete shalom of God today and every day this week.
