The Lord looks down in love, bending over heaven’s balcony, looking over all of Adam’s sons and daughters. He’s looking to see if there is anyone who acts wisely, any who are searching for God and wanting to please him. Psalm 14:2 TPT
What a beautiful picture. The love the Father has for us is inescapable and constantly searches out those He can show His favor to and lavish His blessings on. Will He find you? Are you searching for Him and is your desire to please Him?
We all search for love in all the wrong places. We try to find it in relationships, in things, in money. The word ‘love’ is used so loosely that I believe it’s become lost in the bywords of our society. ‘I love that outfit!’ ‘Love that new store!’ ‘Love those shoes!’
Lets look at Ephesians 3:18-19 in The Passion Translation. It says; Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!
We will never understand it, but we can be partakers of it. Thats like drinking water, not sure how it was formed, but we do enjoy it when we’re thirsty. I believe God wants us hungry for his love.
1 Corinthians 14:1a says, “Let love be your highest goal”, so is it? Is it the first thing you think about in the morning and the last thing you think about at night? Are you passionately pursuing the heart of the Father to know every part of Him? Every dimension of His love?
I pour out my love to you Lord in the only way I know how. I will lavish songs of love, words of love, my eyes squeezed shut as I think of you and the great love you have for me. My heart is overwhelmed by the many memories of your goodness. My hopeful, watchful eye of faith anticipates the goodness you will show me today, tomorrow and in days to come. I drink from your cup of love and it quenches my parched soul. I cannot come away from this time with you and not be changed. Love really does cover and I am clothed with your love.
Until Tomorrow,
Sandy G
