When Moses finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face, but when he went into the presence of God to speak with him, he removed the veil until he came out. When he came out and told the Israelites what he had been commanded, they would see Moses’ face, its skin glowing, and then he would again put the veil on his face until he went back in to speak with God. Exodus 34:33-35 Message
This morning as I was thinking about Moses and the time he spent before the Lord, it occurred to me that we too can experience that kind of glowing glory of God. Because just as Moses’ appearance was physically changed by the manifest presence of God, so can ours.
It’s impossible to think that we can have all of that without spending that kind of time with Him. The more time you spend with someone the more you become like them. Just as you cannot be physically clean without soap and water, so time in Gods presence changes who you were. Old things are gone and all things become new.
We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 2:18 TPT
It’s time to hunger and thirst for righteousness again. It’s time to burn with passion for the presence of the Fire we were created to carry. Time to flip the switch and go from powerless to powerful.
Set a fire in us, oh God. We want those around us to catch fire from the burning. It’s our desire to be more like you, but that will only happen when we are with You more then the world. It’s all about You Lord.
Until Tomorrow
