How many of you have ever received a personal word from the Lord? A promise that you’ve held onto but that hasn’t yet manifested? How many have been believing for a miracle?
Dictionary.com defines the word, miracle as; an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause, such an effect or event manifesting or considered as a work of God.
In other words, if you could have done it yourself, it wouldn’t come close to the definition of a miracle. It’s something that only God can do! I want you think on that for just a minute. I feel like at times we try to ‘fix’ what is wrong instead of just trusting God to do it. When it doesn’t work in our timeline, we get impatient and feel like we just need to do something, anything.
You serve a God who is more than enough in and of Himself. He is well able to do exceedingly and abundantly above anything you could ask or imagine, but it’s not in your strength or ability, it’s in His. And guess what? His strength and ability is in us because He is in us.
It’s never a ‘maybe’ with Him, it’s a sure thing. He is unchangeable! When He says it, He means it. Psalm 138:2 says; I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your loving kindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your Word above all Your name.
Unlike us, God’s Word actually means something. He doesn’t lie as we often do. He doesn’t make promises He’s incapable of keeping. When He speaks, there is so much power behind His Words that they keep working and creating long after He’s spoken them.
So my friends, next time you get discouraged because you don’t see the change you’re expecting, I want you to focus on what God has done in the past and worship Him. Thank Him for all the known and unknown things in your past. When you think of all He’s done for others, remember He’s no respecter of persons, what He did for others, He will do for you. It may not look the same, but He is faithful who promised.
The same voice that spoke to blind eyes, “Open!” is the same one who lives and works in you and me today. Open your mouth and declare, “Eyes open! Ears open! Mountain move! Provision come! Peace come!” And when you speak, don’t doubt but believe that what you say will happen.
Until Tomorrow,
Sandy G
