Chill Child!

Unknown

“I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work.” God’s Decree. “For as the sky soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think. Just as rain and snow descend from the skies and don’t go back until they’ve watered the earth, Doing their work of making things grow and blossom, producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry, So will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They’ll do the work I sent them to do, they’ll complete the assignment I gave them.” Isaiah 55:8-11

I guess this is the theme for the week because God just won’t leave it alone. It’s almost as though He’s trying to convince someone not to give up hope or quit believing. Whoever you are, you may want to read my last two blogs because they seem to be for you!

Please understand that in your attempt to try to figure everything out, you’re only going to frustrate yourself. To try to understand what God’s up to is futile. His thoughts are bigger, He just works differently than you do. It will only make sense when you stand on your mountaintop and look down at the trail you took to get there. It will make sense when you see the final masterpiece.

It reminds me of when I was a child riding in the backseat as dad drove us to a certain destination. All my asking, “How much longer?” only got me, “You’ll know when we get there!” I didn’t understand time. I didn’t understand distance. I just had to trust we would get there at some time and until that time, chill!

Just stay in His presence. Keep worshipping, communing with Him, asking questions, but trust that you’ll know when you get there and it will be far better than anything you could ever imagine or dream of.

I speak peace to you today. Peace to your storm. Peace to your turmoil. Peace to your stress. Peace to your doubts and fears. God loves you in ways you can’t fathom and He has good plans for you. Each time you’re tempted to move away from that trust, chill. Pull His blanket of love around yourself and bask in His embrace. Take a nap in His lap cause it will make the time go by so much faster.

Until Tomorrow-Chill

  1. “Pull His blanket of love around yourself and bask in His embrace.” The imagery of that is just so amazing…thanks for sharing! I definitely have some “chilling” to do in my life!
