Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You’re not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It’s the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes, he does. 1 Peter 5:8-11 MSG

When we’re going through something difficult and it seems to have lasted forever, it’s difficult to not be absorbed by it. It consumes our thoughts and we begin to question if it’s worth the fight anymore. Well let me encourage you today by saying this; God will always have the last word. How do I know this? Because His Word is the final word.

He spoke the Word and created the world. He spoke the Word and created humanity. He spoke the Word and hung the stars in place. He spoke the Word then and it’s still standing today. His Word just never fails at anything. Once He released it, there are no ‘take-backs’.

Did you hear what He said? “Take a firm grip on faith. The suffering won’t last forever.” The end is sight, your trust in Him is the rope you hold onto. You who know His character knows that He says what He means and He means what He says.

And we know that “It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good.”

“Oh that will be glory for me! Glory for me! Glory for me! When by His grace I will look on His face, that will be glory, be glory for me!” I don’t have to wait till I get to heaven to see His face. Christ is in me, so when I look in the mirror, I can see Him in me just as I can see aspects of my momma and daddy looking back at me.

So when the voice in your head screams loud, scream back-“YOU’RE A LIAR! GOD WILL HAVE THE FINAL WORD!”
