It’s Ok to Go

It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. Hebrews 11:8

I believe that God has called all of us to leave something and follow Him. The question is, are you afraid to leave the familiar to acquire the phenomenal? To trust in the God who sees when you can see nothing?

Years ago, I started meeting with my friend Mary to pray together. We would spend an hour just worshipping, interceding and listening. I began cultivating my ability to hear Gods voice and follow His leading. The Holy Spirit would lead me to declare something and I would, but when it didn’t happen, I thought I’d heard wrong.

My hearts cry was, “God, there has to be more! I want more! I’m not satisfied here, I want more of You!” That was when things began to get serious. He told us to sell our home and move to Florida. He put us in an environment where the prophetic and apostolic gifts were being used and began teaching us how to operate in that.

Like Abraham, we obeyed God when He asked us to leave our home and family to go to an unfamiliar place. We were ridiculed and told it was foolish to go with no provision (job), but God was faithful every step of the way. Yes there was pressure! Yes there was fear! Yes there was loss! Yes there was pain! He didn’t say it would be easy, He just said to trust Him.

Sometimes when God wants you somewhere and you’re unwilling to go, He’ll apply pressure so it’s uncomfortable to stay where you are. He promised to direct your steps, but your feet must be moving for that to happen. He will speak to you, but you must listen and obey even when it makes no sense at all.

It’s ok to go! Jesus said to go! Why then would you stay? If God is prompting you to move, to get out of your comfort zone and do something different, be sensitive to His Spirit and go. He may be positioning you to reach someone. He may be testing your listening skills. He may be checking to see if you’ll obey Him.

Let me also add that ‘go’ may not mean moving across country. Sometimes it may be a move to the other side of the room, to sit in a different place at church. It could be a move to a different job or another position in the same company. Just go, knowing that it may not be for you, but for someone God wants you to connect with. Always be available because those are the ones He uses the most.

I’ve always loved the definition of insanity-it’s doing things the same, expecting different results. Stop walking in circles because you’re not going anywhere. MOVE! NOW! Do things differently. Get out of your routine and mix it up. You’re never too old to change.

Thank you Father for loving me so much that You keep me moving. Moving things are living things. I never want to be stagnant! Keep me moving and renew my strength to keep going. You’ve healed my body. You’ve healed my mind. You’re transformed me, now use me for Your glory. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen

Stay Fluid,

How To Boost Your Immunity

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14 NKJV

So may the words of my mouth, my meditation-thoughts, and every movement of my heart be always pure and pleasing, acceptable before your eyes, my only Redeemer, my Protector-God. Passion Translation

Years ago, I took a job working for a physician and began to hear about the term, ‘preventative medicine’. We were suppose to try to schedule patients for a yearly physical with the goal of finding issues in their blood work and examination, that could prevent serious illness in the future.

I began to think on this concept and decided that since God is my Great Physician and created my body, who better to go to with my concerns. It took some time and sitting under some good teaching, but I began applying my knowledge of the Word as preventative medicine to my body.

As I lay in bed, I began thanking God that He is the God who heals, that He sent His Word and healed me and delivered me from all known and unknown disease. From the top of my head to the soles of my feet, I began to speak to each part of my body, “Holy Spirit who is in me, the same Holy Spirit that raised Christ from the dead, quicken my body. As it is in Heaven, so is it in my body. Nothing missing, nothing broken. Health and healing to all my flesh. Thank You for Your grace and mercy and thank You that Your Word never returns to you without completing what You sent it to do.”

I remind my body of Psalm 91–I will make my dwelling place in You, Lord, I will stay in the shelter of the Most High God. Because of that, You will deliver me and keep me from every trap of the enemy, every plague must back off because You have sent Your angels to keep me in all my ways. I may see it happen around me, but it won’t come near me or my family. I don’t care what it is, Your Word is greater than anything in or on this earth. You will keep me in perfect peace when my mind is fixed on You.

That boosts my immune system. That announces to my body just who I trust in. It doesn’t mean I haven’t been attacked or experienced sickness try to come on me, but what it does mean is that I refuse to allow in me what doesn’t belong there. I trust in the Lord! I am His ambassador in the earth and it’s His job to care for me. He’s my Healer, Provider, Protector, my ever present Help in time of trouble.

That is His part, mine is to simply believe. In Mark 9:23, Jesus stated that if you believe, all things are possible to you. I am to believe regardless of what I see or hear or feel. He said His Word is above everything! That nothing can stand against it and I believe that. At the name of Jesus, every knee has to bow, every knee. That’s the knee of sickness and disease. That’s the knee of poverty and lack. There is nothing that can stand up to God’s Word of His Name.

So join with me and be boosted in your immunity today. Take on the whole armor of God so that you can stand against the plans and schemes of the enemy. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. No weapon formed against you will succeed and every tongue that rises against you in judgement will be condemned. It’s your heritage. Don’t be duped into believing otherwise.

Keep Boosting!

Access Given

Jesus explained, “I am the Way, I am the Truth, and I am the Life. No one comes next to the Father except through union with me. To know me is to know my Father too.  And from now on you will realize that you have seen him and experienced him.” John 14:6-7

I once heard a story of a young man who was arguing that there were many ways to get to God. The pastor listened intently as he built his case, not saying a word. Finally the young man stopped, satisfied that he had given his best defense on the subject.

The pastor asked the young man if he was familiar with a certain address on a remote canyon road. “If you’re coming from the north, how would you access that address?” The young man replied, “That’s easy! It doesn’t matter which direction you come from, there is only one way in and one way out. It’s a dead end with only one access.”

So many people are trying to come to God using whatever way and means they can, but the truth is simple; there is only one way to access God and that is through Jesus. You can’t get there through relationship with me or anyone else. You can’t buy your way in, coerce your way in, beg your way in or steal your way in. There is one way to God and that is through relationship with Jesus.

Here’s what most people get hung-up on, what’s it going to cost me? Well, it’s actually not going to cost you a thing. Jesus paid the price for your access. He gave His life, shed His blood so that you could freely receive this gift and all you have to do is place your hands out and take it. Too simple? Yeah, people get hung up on that all the time. We’ve been taught there is nothing in life that’s truly free, and you’re right, someone always has to pay. In this case, Jesus paid it all!

Once you find the key to open the door to God, it’s always open to you. But just because it’s open, doesn’t mean you don’t have to get up and walk through it. Jesus had given you access to God, but you must make the effort to get to know Him. It’s like a marriage, to enjoy all the benefits, complete surrender is required. In the surrender, you find that you become one in so many ways while maintaining your uniqueness.

Your union with Jesus has benefits you can’t even imagine. It’s not just for you personally, but reproductively. The more He gives, the more you produce. The more you produce, the more you give. There is no end for to be absent from your body is to be present with the Lord.

If you knew you had a trillion dollars in your account, wouldn’t you want access to it? I know I would! But that’s what you have. Everything the Father has is yours now. As it is in Heaven, that’s how it should be on the earth but He gave you all power and authority. Learn to use what you have and more will be given. Use your access for His Kingdom.

So Much More to Learn!

Is This Your Best?

“She came to Jerusalem with a very great retinue, with camels that bore spices, very much gold and precious stones; and when she came to Solomon, she spoke with him about all that was in her heart.” 1 Kings 10:2

If I was invited to come before the president, I would bring him my best gift. Why? Because I was taught that you never show up empty-handed when invited into the presence of someone great. It doesn’t matter the size of the gift or the type of gift given, what matters is that it’s your best.

It reminds me of the story of Jesus standing in the temple with his disciples. They watched as each person dropped their offerings into the bucket. All the wealthy people were making a big deal of what they dropped in, but when a widow woman put her penny in, Jesus said she gave more than all the rest. Why? Because it was her best.

I used to just plop down and begin talking to the Lord until one day I realized how dishonoring I was being. Now when I come before the King of all kings, I bring Him my best gifts, my worship, my song, the sweet incense of my sorrow, my joy, and I tell Him all that is in my heart. I will never come empty handed again. Nothing I have to say is more important than the protocol of honor.

“Then she gave the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold, spices in great quantity, and precious stones. There never again came such abundance of spices as the Queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.” 1 Kings 10:10

I believe this is a picture of the bride of Christ today as we come to Him. What is your best? I’m not talking monetary gifts, although I believe it’s important we give that way. Remember that God doesn’t look at the outward appearance of a man, but on his heart. If your heart is broken, offer it to Him and He will put it back together better than it was. If it’s all you have, give it to Him.

One of my favorite songs was written by Bill and Gloria Gather years ago. The title is, Something Beautiful. I encourage you to look it up but here are the words:

If there ever were dreams that were lofty and noble, they were my dreams from the start. And hopes for life’s best were the hopes that I harbored, down deep in my heart. But my dreams turned to ashes, my castles all crumbled, my fortunes turned to loss. So I wrapped them up, in the rags of my life and laid it at the cross.

Something Beautiful. Something good. All my confusion, He understood. All I had to offer Him was brokenness and strife, but He made something beautiful of my life.

As you come before the King today, bring the simplicity of your best gift and lay it before Him. Lay your heart down low in humility as you express your thankfulness for all He’s provided. Ask forgiveness for trying to do it all on your own and let Him know how much you need Him. Offer Him your life for the gift of His Son. Except the touch of His hand on your heart as He sets it on fire with a burning desire for Him.

Daily Burning,

Sandy G

What Wearies God?

You have wearied the Lord with your words. ‘Wearied him?’ you ask. ‘How have we wearied him?’ You have wearied him by suggesting that the Lord favors evildoers since he does not punish them. You have wearied him by asking, ‘Where is the God of justice?’ Malachi 2:17

I wonder how many times I’ve wearied God? Assuming that I know anything at all, what makes me think I know more than He does, or that I question what He does or how He does it? Yet so often it just happens.

This kind of reminds me of the last couple chapters of Job when God speaks and puts Job and his friends in their place. “Where were you when I formed the worlds? Is it your hand that held back the waters?” (My translation)

It all comes down to trust, doesn’t it? Trusting to hear His voice, to do what He says without question or doubting. Trusting that all things will work out. Knowing that all power and authority was given to us and trusting we get it right.

When we trust, we know there are reasons beyond our understanding. When we trust, we realize we just don’t have Gods perspective on things. When we trust, we know He cannot lie! His Word doesn’t come back void!

It’s just a matter of time. The Lord ALWAYS has our best interest in mind. When we trust, we also learn to listen, correct our path and press on. Nothing can separate us from the LOVE of God or make us believe He is not a good and faithful God.

He’s Got This,

Sandy G

You’re a Masterpiece

“He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6). This tells me that the work is continual, ongoing. What God began in me, HE is faithful to complete it.

I may look like a hopeless case, but to Him, I’m a masterpiece! You see, the Sculptor came and asked if He could make something out of me. It took lots of time and patience as he gently carved away small amounts of unwanted & unnecessary material.

What I didn’t expect is that as the piece was finished, it no longer resembled me, but looked more like Him. He removed all the anger, bitterness and resentment from my face. My stoney heart began to beat again with love and passion I had never known.

Psalms 51:16-17 MSG, “Going through the motions doesn’t please you, a flawless performance is nothing to you, I learned God-worship when my pride was shattered. Heart-shattered lives ready for love don’t for a moment escape God’s notice.”

The Master Sculptor took what was and created for Himself an offering. A daily, moment by moment, laying down my desires, ambitions, goals and dreams for His. My life became His life, for the life I live, I now live for Him.

Father, as I walk this out today, may my offering be a sweet incense to you. Thank you for being so patient with me. For creating in me a clean heart and renewing a right spirit in me. Don’t ever stop working on me! I want to resemble you more and more everyday, in every way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You’re Beautiful,

Sandy G

The Judge is Watching

The wicked are always looking for ways to kill good people, but the Lord will not let the wicked defeat them. He will not let good people be judged guilty. Do what the Lord says, and wait for his help. He will reward you and give you the land he promised. You will see the wicked being forced to leave. I once saw a wicked man who was powerful, he was like a strong, healthy tree. But then he was gone. I looked for him, but I could not find him. Psalm 37:33-36

I’ve seen so much injustice in the world, and if it bothers me, think how much it bothers God. Sometimes I think God must be busy when He allows things to happen that are so blatantly wrong or evil. But God doesn’t miss a thing! He keeps good records of every evil deed.

He’s not a dictator! He gave us all the ability to make choices, and although those choices affect so many people, it’s still our choice to make. But in our ability to choose, God would have us choose right.

It’s not a hard test! God didn’t say, “Do whatever you want and it will be alright.” No, He gave us laws to govern our choices. In Deuteronomy 30:19, He made it very simple; “Today I am giving you a choice of two ways. And I ask heaven and earth to be witnesses of your choice. You can choose life or death. The first choice will bring a blessing. The other choice will bring a curse. So choose life! Then you and your children will live.”

We can choose to live life for and with God or for and with the world, but regardless of our choice, it’s ours to make. God is merely judging us, keeping track of what we choose to do. Please don’t blame Him when bad things happen as a result of your decisions.

The good news is this; we have an advocate, Jesus. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all of it! His blood will cover it all.

“Oh Precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow. No other fount I know. Nothing but the blood of Jesus.”

Thank You Lord for the gift to serve You. May Your Kingdom come on the earth, that You may be lifted up and glorified. You are just in all Your ways and we know that You will direct our steps and keep our feet from falling into traps. It’s in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

He’s Always Watching,

Sandy G

Radical Faith/Extreme Blessings

Jesus replied, “Let the faith of God be in you! Listen to the truth I speak to you: If someone says to this mountain with great faith and having no doubt, ‘Mountain, be lifted up and thrown into the midst of the sea,’ and believes that what he says will happen, it will be done.” Mark 11:22-23 TPT

I love this translation because it shows there is more to life than simply trusting in God, Jesus had the audacity to say we can have the same faith God has. Doesn’t that make sense? Because if I have the God kind of faith, there’s nothing that will be impossible for me.

I know this may be a little bit outside your religious box, but seriously, why would He have said it if it wasn’t ours to have. God believed everything He said, that’s how He created the heavens and earth. There was no doubt about it.

Do you think that when He created you and I, He left that attribute out? I don’t think so. I believe there are things He has hidden for us to discover when we seek to have real relationship with Him. It’s not all about God doing everything for us, it’s about us doing for God. It’s learning to rule from the supernatural realm having God’s perspective.

It’s replicating the faith of God when we lay hands on the sick. It’s operating just as Jesus did when He was in the earth. That’s why He said, “I only do what I see the Father do.” That is having the faith of God.

Here’s what pleases God more than anything, it’s making the effort to be Him in the earth. Hearing the words, “She’s just like her Father,” should mean something. Having the faith of God is a step from the reality you’ve been taught into the reality of His realm.

It’s that moment you step off the edge of your firm ground into the air and find the hand of God was there all the time. Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s missing. If He said you can do all things, you can do all things. He’s just waiting for you to step out and trust Him.

If you feel the Lord is calling you off the edge, close your eyes and go for it. There’s a whole lot of life on the other side of the ground you’re standing on. If you always play it safe, you’ll never open yourself up for crazy blessings.

Be Radical,

Sandy G

Take a Seat

To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Revelation 3:21

When circumstances & situations knock loudly at the door to gain entrance in your already crowded mind, make a decision before it even happens, NO ENTRANCE HERE! You can’t wait till it knocks to guard your mind, your mind must already be fortified, the locks & bolts firmly in place.

The Word says that you will KNOW the truth and it will make you free. It doesn’t say you will read the Word, glance at the Word or even memorize the Word. It says KNOW it. That word expresses deep intimacy with something. It must be more of a reality to you then your circumstances or situations.

Overcomers KNOW the WORD.

John 1:14 says, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

To know the Word is to know Jesus. Jesus is the Word, they are one in the same. He is the spoken Word of God. We must believe that the Word of God always does what it’s sent to do.

Thank You Father that I am an overcomer. I put on the helmet of salvation today. I know who I am and whose I am. That alone brings victory over every scheme of the enemy. I stand watch over what goes into my mind, so that my words will bring victory in every area of my life. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Know the Word,

Sandy G

Quiet Down

Trust in the Lord and wait quietly for his help. Psalm 37:7a

Sometimes I think that is the most difficult thing to do-trusting and the waiting quietly. Especially the quietly part. We tend to very verbal about things we know so little about. Yet this is what He asks of us to do.

I wonder why that is? Perhaps it’s because our words hold so much creative power, that when used incorrectly, can be a detriment or put a hold on progress. We want it and we want it now, but perhaps now isn’t the best time for God, after all, it’s about His Kingdom, not ours.

Wait on the Lord. We seem to get that right, but the quietly, not so much. I believe it’s because His vision is so much broader than ours, so vast. He takes it all in, the beginning, the end, He sees and knows it all. There is so much to His plan and we are only a small part in it.

When King David wrote this, he had learned a thing or two about blindly trusting the Lord. He knew all about waiting in the meadow, tending the sheep while God prepared him for his great future. He faced giants, overcame battles, all because he knew the faithfulness of God.

He knew God as a strong tower where the righteous could run and be safe. He knew God as provider, protector, deliverer and King. All through the Psalms, he showed how to have relationship with God and simply trust Him.

Will you do that today? Regardless of what things look like, will you close your eyes and just trust Him? Regardless of your bank account, how far away your dreams look, will you smile, cease from worrying and trust His plans?

I will trust you Lord for you know what’s best for me. This week is a time when I’ve focused on thankfulness, so let me remember that You have all things in Your very capable hands. You have all the details worked out. I will be quiet before You and wait patiently until You reveal Your great plan and my part in it. I will trust You.

Keep Praising,

Sandy G
