What Are You Waiting For?

images

Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God! Ephesians 3:18-19 TPT

What are you waiting for? I believe thats what the Lord is saying to each of us. If you’re waiting on Him to do it all for you, think again. Everything was done when He died on the cross and rose from the grave. Victory over every trial, healing for every disease, provision for every need, it’s all been done.

Again I ask, what are you waiting for? He’s not going to die again, it’s a done deal. He sits at the right hand of the Father interceding on your behalf. For what? So you will walk in the power He gave you. Sit at His feet and learn of Him for you are in dire need of direction and the only way you’ll get it is by spending time in His presence.

He’s not a magician, He’s God! Unchangeable, undeniable, awesome, mighty and powerful. He’s so good that He hid the treasure deep in His Word so that only those who seek Him will find Him.  So what are you waiting for? Go after God with everything in you, sit and be still and hear the Word of the Lord.

“Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Phillipians 4:7

Let’s Get Back to the Basics–Love

images

Be free from pride-filled opinions, for they will only harm your cherished unity. Don’t allow self-promotion to hide in your hearts, but in authentic humility put others first and view others as more important than yourselves.  Abandon every display of selfishness. Possess a greater concern for what matters to others instead of your own interests. Philippians 2:2-4 GW

Well now, that was a mouthful! Especially in todays climate with everyone screaming their opinions about this rule, that rule, the president, the senate, the governors, and the list goes on and on. “I’m right, you’re wrong! You must be stupid!” are just a few of the insults I’ve seen and experienced. What is wrong with us? Never have I seen so much hatred as I have seen recently.

Paul urges us to abandon every display of selfishness. Why is that? Because there is no room for it in the Kingdom of God. It’s a distraction from purpose, the purpose to preach the gospel of Love. There can be no selfishness in love.

1 Corinthians 13:4-6 TPT says it so well: Love is large and incredibly patient. Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. It refuses to be jealous when blessing comes to someone else. Love does not brag about one’s achievements nor inflate its own importance.  Love does not traffic in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. Love is not easily irritated or quick to take offense. Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong. Love is a safe place of shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never gives up.

I believe we all needed to read these verses to remember what our true purpose is–Love. If we, the remnant bride of Christ can’t get it right, where is the hope for others? It’s easy to hurl insults and be angry, but the truth is that being right doesn’t matter without love. We need to get back to that basic principle and never stray from it again. Right or wrong, rich or poor, slave or free, nothing matters without love.

Until Next Time,

Mouth Test

images

And never let ugly or hateful words come from your mouth, but instead let your words become beautiful gifts that encourage others; do this by speaking words of grace to help them. Ephesians 4:29 TPT

Have you ever listened to the things that you say? The bible is very clear that our words are super important. In fact, Proverbs 18:21 says, “Your words are so powerful that they will kill or give life, and the talkative person will reap the consequences.”

I dare say that we are so often tripped up by the words of our own mouth, simply because we don’t believe there are consequences to our actions, we disregard this important verse.

Here’s something to think about; when a seed is planted in the ground, do you see it sprout up right away? No, it takes time to germinate and grow, usually a few days before you see a little green pop up out of the ground. And how long till you see the fruit of what you planted? Usually 2 to 3 months. That’s why people plant in the spring to harvest in the fall.

So it is with your words. You won’t see it right away, but eventually it will show up. You will eat what you’ve planted. If you continually say, “I’m sick! I think I’ve got the virus!” than chances are, you will eventually get it. You’re sending a message to your body to get ready, it’s coming!

But let’s change our words to agree with God’s Word regardless of what you feel like. Let’s have faith in God and state, “He sent His Word (Jesus) and healed me and delivered me from all disease.” Again, it may take a little bit before it pops up out of the ground, but if you don’t waver, and you keep declaring the Word, you will reap what you sow if you faint not.

I challenge you today to do the mouth test. Listen to what’s coming out of your mouth and decide that regardless of what you see in the natural, it is subject to change by the things you speak. Stop confirming the things you feel and make a decision to stick with the unchanging Word of God.

God Has Chosen Me

Unknown-1

‘You are my servant.’ For I have chosen you and will not throw you away. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:9b&10

Someone reading this needs to know that God is madly in love with you. He wants you focused on Him this morning and not the problem that looms large and angry before you. It’s hardest to remember these things when you’re in the middle of chaos and there’s a reason for that. The devil wants you so focused on the problem that you forget you are a child of God.

Let’s personalize this passage and speak it out loud and declare it to your spirit;  God has chosen me! I won’t be afraid! He is with me! I won’t be discouraged! He is my God! He will give me strength and help me! He will hold me up with His victorious right hand!

Take that, devil! No weapon formed against me will prosper and every tongue that rises up against me in judgement will be put down. It’s my heritage! You can’t take that from me! Not today, not tomorrow and not any day thereafter. I’m a daughter of the most High God and nothing will separate me from that.

My dear friend, as you go about your day, continue to speak this and remember, there is no problem bigger than your God. He is not just able, but He is willing to help you and deliver you. You can take that to the bank!

Until Tomorrow,

At Any Age-I’m Never Forsaken

Unknown-1

Ps 37:25-26 “Once I was young and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly forsaken, nor seen their children begging for bread. The godly always give generous loans to others and their children are a blessing.”

Thinking of this verse and watching how God has taken care of my children, who are no longer little, but such a blessing to others. Its just another testament to the Word of God and His faithfulness to it. He never leaves or forsakes His own. His Word is still alive and as powerful as when He first spoke it.

Being givers has many advantages, not just givers of money, but givers of our time and energy. You can’t sow into the Kingdom and not reap back 100 fold in your lifetime. Again, it’s His Word and He’s forever faithful.

I’m thankful! I’m thankful God’s not looking for perfect vessels, but God takes my imperfections and covers them with the blood of His precious Son. He takes my many seeds and turns them to His advantage to build His Kingdom on the earth.

To be a part of something so great is worth getting up every morning and getting His direction on my day. He will never leave me alone even though I can be directionally challenged at times.

Thank you for Your faithfulness, Lord. My life is Yours, do with me as You please today. May I add value to the lives I touch and may You receive all the glory.

Until Tomorrow,

Don’t You Dare Stay Quiet Now

images

Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see—how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him. Psalm 34:8 Message

I don’t believe that means to physically run to Him, I believe we need to mentally run to Him. How do we do that? By thinking about Him day and night.

When we’re surrounded by evil, when everything that could go wrong goes wrong, when we’re facing a mountain of debt, when the report from the doctor is a death sentence, we open our mouth and speak of His faithfulness. We open our eyes to see His faithfulness.

The best solution to any problem we face is to begin to worship the Lord for all He’s done in the past and all He will do in our future. To remind Him of His promise to never leave us or forsake us. To thank Him for wisdom to deal with our present so we can add it to our arsenal against our enemy.

It may seem like you’re alone, but you’re not. It may seem like the problem is too big until you see how big your God is. Nothing compares to Him. NOTHING!

David faced Goliath because he knew God was bigger! Jesus faced death because He knew God would raise Him up. If you don’t trust like that, it’s time you opened your mouth to taste, open your eyes to see just how good your God is.

Today lets keep our focus where it should be, on the great grace and goodness of our God. As you run after God, He will deal with your enemy.

Until Tomorrow,

Let Him Deal With it

images

Have you ever faced something that seemed WAY over your ability to deal with? Overwhelmed, broken, defeated, sometimes things just look impossible! It seems like that, because its all we can see. It consumes our vision each time we open our eyes, it takes up all our thoughts when we close our eyes, there’s just no escaping the problem.

King Jehoshaphat faced a similar situation in II Chronicles 20:6-12 we hear him crying out and reminding God of all He’s done for them and he ends with, “but our eyes are upon You.” Hear what the Lord answered in verse 15b, “Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.’ Then he gives them instruction on what to do in verse 17, “You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.”

But the COOLEST part of this story is found in verse 18, “And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem bowed before the Lord, worshiping the Lord.”

Do you see that? When you trust in the Lord with ALL your heart, you will remind God of His promises, wait for His instruction and then WORSHIP Him.

We have a tendency to run and do without being thankful. Jesus healed 10 lepers, only one came back to worship and thank him. The 9 were healed, but only one was made whole. Restoration comes when we worship. I’m not going to be satisfied with a part of my salvation, I want it all.

I worship you, my King. Thankful for Your Word over my dilemma that moments before obstructed my view of You. May my worship usher in my victory over my enemies today.

And All God’s People Said, Amen

Just Think

Unknown-1

“Then those who feared the Lord spoke with each other, and the Lord listened to what they said. In his presence, a scroll of remembrance was written to record the names of those who feared him and always thought about the honor of his name.” Malachi 3:16

Does anyone fear the Lord and think about the honor of His name anymore? When I talk about Him, He not only listens, but He writes it in a book. OMG! It goes on to say that on the day He acts, we will be His own special treasure and He will show us mercy. Just because we talk and think on him.

I know how it makes Walt feel when I tell people what a wonderful man he is. Those times when I think about him during the day and tell him at night, but I’ve never thought of how it makes God feel.

So let me just tell you about my God! He’s the greatest. He loves me so much and takes such good care of me. Every need I have, He finds a way to provide it. I’ve never been so loved in all my life. Think about THAT today. He remembers those who do.

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G

Share The Light

images

“Of what great worth is Your loving-kindness, O God! The children of men come and are safe in the shadow of Your wings. They are filled with the riches of Your house. And You give them a drink from Your river of joy. All life came from You. In Your light we see light.” Psalm 36:7-9 NLV

Did you catch that too? In your light we see light. Wait, how can you see light in light? Luke 11:34 TPT says it like this; “The eyes of your spirit allow revelation-light to enter into your being. When your heart is open the light floods in. When your heart is hard and closed, the light cannot penetrate and darkness takes its place.”

I John 1:7 says, “But if we keep living in the pure light that surrounds him, we share unbroken fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, continually cleanses us from all sin.” I believe that as we fellowship with God, the light shines brighter on His Word in us.

The other morning after spending time with the Lord, He began to show me a great truth about something I had just read. As I shared that revelation with a friend, it got brighter. In other words, I received even more revelation on the Word as I shared it. The Glory of the Lord was in our sharing.

Has that ever happened to you? Where the presence of the Lord is almost tangible as you share the Word with each other. Oh how I love the depths of His light. May I walk in that light and burn brightly, shedding light into the dark areas of my life and my world. Indeed all my life came from You, Lord and in Your light I see light.

Share the Light!

The Gift of Forgiveness

Unknown

Someone once asked me, “How do you know when you’ve forgiven someone?” My answer: When you can think of them with love. Until those feelings of hurt and anger stop pouring out of you when you talk of them or talk about the situation.

If Jesus could love that much, how can we not also if we are indeed his disciples. Unforgiveness is like carrying around a heavy load of slime, until you release it, it will hold onto you.

Unforgiveness is like formaldehyde, it will preserve bitterness forever. Love on the other hand, encases your heart like a shield and deflects the arrows back onto those who sent it. Wouldn’t you rather love?

Love covers a multitude of sin. Let love have its perfect work in your heart today. What happened is in the past, its a part of your journey. It may have been a wild ride, but perhaps God needed to refine you as pure gold so that what comes forth will be more valuable to Him.

Ps 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, oh God and renew a right spirit within me.”

Until Tomorrow,
