God bandages the wounds he makes; his hand hurts you, and his hand heals. Time after time he will save you from harm; when famine comes, he will keep you alive, and in war protect you from death. God will rescue you from slander; he will save you when destruction comes. You will laugh at violence and hunger and not be afraid of wild animals. Job 5:18-22 GNT
A friend sent me these verses and I have to say, not something I’d send to encourage someone going through something. But the more I read it, it just made sense.
We can’t begin to understand why somethings happen in our lives. But rest assured, we’re not alone nor were we designed to figure it all out.
It would be so much better if everything was sunshine and flowers, but they’re not. Life was never meant to be that way and Jobs life is a prime example of that.
But after the trial, Job didn’t just get back more than he lost, but he gained a better understanding of Gods infinite wisdom and learned to hear Gods voice.
Everyone questions why bad things happen to good people but let me leave you with this: Life isn’t about fair. It’s meant to build character and relationship with God.
You may never know the why’s until you stand face to face with God. But don’t question Him. Just trust Him. He knows the end from the beginning and you’re a part of that plan.
He heals, He delivers, He provides, He saves and someday you’ll laugh again.
