Just Consider This

And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. Romans 4:19

Lets break down the word ‘consider’ per the dictionary; to think carefully about, especially in order to make a decision; contemplate; reflect on; to regard as or deem to be; to think, believe, or suppose; to bear in mind; make allowance for; to pay attention to; regard.

So, Abraham did not consider, think about, contemplate, reflect on, or even bear in mind, the impossibility of he and Sarah having children. He only considered what God said. Therefore I submit to you that of we only consider God’s Word and not the report of the enemy, the diagnosis of the doctor, the balance in our checkbook or the lack in our pantry, what our car sounds like or looks like or lack thereof, what we see in the mirror….you get the picture, than we will see the promises of God come to pass regardless of the impossibility.

It all started when Eve considered what the serpent said. We’ve been considering ever since. STOP CONSIDERING!

Remember when the angel stood before Mary and told her she would be the mother of the Messiah? She responded correctly, “Be it unto me according to your Word”. Then she prophesied or spoke what what already in her heart. She never doubted or considered anything but what God said.

My dear friends, it’s time to change our thinking to line up with what God says, not what the world says. Commit to consider only what He promises to do.

Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. Psalm 37:5
