An Audience With The King

I thank you, Lord, and with all the passion of my heart I worship you in the presence of angels! Heaven’s mighty ones will hear my voice as I sing my loving praise to you. I bow down before your divine presence and bring you my deepest worship as I experience your tender love and your living truth. For your Word and the fame of your name have been magnified above all else! At the very moment I called out to you, you answered me! You strengthened me deep within my soul and breathed fresh courage into me. Psalm 138:1-3 Passion Translation

Here is something you must understand about worship. It is the key that opens the door to enter the throne room of God. If you’re in need of an audience with the King–just worship. You can sing, you can dance, you can say it with words in your own language or in your Spirit language, but get good at it, because it’s what you’ll be doing in heaven.

How valuable is worship? It’s the very thing that Satan tried to get Jesus to do when he tempted Him in the wilderness. “I will give you all of this if you bow down and worship me.” He continually tries to get us to worship other gods by getting us to pay more attention to other things than to God. He will convince you that work is more important. He’ll throw in an extra bill or even pain in your body to keep you from worshipping. He’ll convince you that the doctor is your answer, and he’ll laugh as you spend your time and money doing it the way of the world instead of worshipping the God who saves, provides, heals and delivers.

David discovered that being in the presence of God, gave him victory over his enemies and wisdom to rule God’s people. Once Moses discovered what God’s presence meant, he would spend days on the mountain seeking His face. Paul made it a priority and received so much revelation that it’s still ministering to us today.

Today, I will worship. Though I’m still easily distracted by everything, I will harness my soul and position myself at His feet. “I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart, I will enter His courts with praise. I will say this is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice for He has made me glad.” I will be thankful and bless His Name, for I’ve discovered that in His presence is fullness of joy. He is literally all I need.

Father, my love for You is deep, deeper than the deepest ocean. It’s Your love that catapults me into obedience. I will hum a melody because words alone are not enough. When you speak, the sound of Your voice echos softly into my heart and responds with overwhelming gratitude. Your voice leaves me longing deeply for more.

Here I come, running, leaping, dancing into Your throne room, hands raised, waving as an offering. Is that a smile I see on Your face, Father? Do I delight You with this small and fleshy offering of my heart and soul? My words seem so limited to describe such a weighty presence, such a deep sense of comfort as if being wrapped in a blanket of everything I could ever need or want.

AHHHH….I love You seems such a small term to scream out to You, but it’s all I have. I love You, I love You, I love You! You know every secret place in me thats hidden from the world, yet Your presence covers it with light, lifting it out, washing it away. Every hurt, every tear, every scar, every sin, washed away! Red with Your blood, a reminder of what it cost You to redeem me. Grateful! I’m so very grateful for Your sacrifice. Again, waves of mercy and grace, love and peace. Hours or minutes, it doesn’t matter. You’ve done more for me this morning then I could ever do for you.

Psalm 108:3 “I will thank you, Lord, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations.”
