Once and for all, end the evil tactics of the wicked! Reward and prosper the cause of the righteous, for you are the righteous God, the soul searcher, who looks deep into every heart to examine the thoughts and motives. God, your wrap-around presence is my protection and my defense. You bring victory to all who reach out for you. Psalm 7:9-10 TPT
For some odd reason, when I read “Once and for all, end the evil tactics of the wicked!”, I heard, “Off with their heads!” I’m not sure what movie that was from, but it was a mental image of the end of what has dragged on and on and on far too long!
Are you there with me? I’m thinking of a song we used to sing from Psalm 3; Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me. Many there be which say of my soul, there is no help for him in God. But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter of mine head. I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousand so people, that have set themselves against me round about. For thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter of mine head.
Father, even where I am, in the middle of the bad reports, the predicted storm that has unsettled my peace, You are a shield for me. I take refuge in the knowledge of who You are and that nothing, absolutely nothing is too hard for You.
It may look like I’m surrounded by thousands of demonic forces trying to steal my peace and the Word hidden in my heart, but with me is 10’s of thousands more angels You have sent to rescue me from the pit of despair. I will trust in You for You have never failed me. I will keep my eyes on You for You have never left me. I will praise Your Name which is above any other name that would try to crowd my view of You.
Now and forever, You reign. Your Word will never return to You without doing what You sent it to do. On the other side of this pit lies a promise, and the blood of Your Son has bridged the gap. As David trusted, so will I trust in You for as he discovered through the journey he took with You, I have discovered, You will not forsake Your own.
Praising Is What I Do,
Sandy G
