It’s Not Too Hard

th

Deuteronomy 30:11-16 ERV; “This command that I give you today is not too hard for you. It is not a secret hidden in some far away land.  This command is not in heaven so that you should say, ‘Who will go up to heaven for us and bring it to us, so that we can hear and do it?’  This command is not on the other side of the sea so that you should say, ‘Who will go across the sea for us and bring it to us, so that we can hear it and do it?’  No, the word is very near to you. It is in your mouth and in your heart. So you can obey it.

“Today I have given you a choice between life and death, success and disaster. I command you today to love the Lord your God. I command you to follow him and to obey his commands, laws, and rules. Then you will live, and your nation will grow larger. And the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to take for your own.”

This morning, I’d like to break this down on a much smaller and more personal scale. Instead of seeing this for a nation, I’d like you to see it for  you personally. In previous chapters, God is asking us to simply obey Him. If we do what He says, we will participate in the blessings. If we turn our own way and do our own thing, then we place ourselves under a curse. God’s not trying to make it hard for us. He even gave His son, Jesus to pay the ‘once and for all’ sacrifice for our sin.

He did everything He could to make it easy on us. To help us make the right choices in life, but we’re so stubborn. We’ve become like spoiled children, making choices that aren’t good for us with no regard to authority. We want our way regardless of the consequences, than blame God for all the bad that happens because of it. WOW!  He clearly made it our choice and showed us what would happen because of our choices. We have no one to blame but the one we see staring back at us in the mirror. We want the good stuff but don’t want to obey Gods word to get it. We’re looking for another way, an easier way than putting our flesh down and doing it Gods way.

Oh Father, how I regret so many things in life. My mind won’t let me forget the wrongs, even when I’ve done a thousand things to counteract it. But that’s not what You said. You said that if I believe in Jesus, I will be saved as well as my family. You said it’s a gift, not something I have to work for. Simple obedience, that’s all you require of me. That obedience brings blessing into my life and the lives of my family. I choose to obey You. It may cost me all I have but I will never come close to the price You paid. It’s in Jesus’ name I trust. Amen

Put Some Skin On It

human_body_3677x2285

“Where would you have me read this morning, Lord?”

“Go to Ezekiel 37, I want to show you something.”

So I began reading in verse one where the power of the Lord came on Ezekiel and carried him to a valley that was filled with dry bones. Then the Lord asks, “Can these bones live?” Stop right there! Let me ask you what impossible thing you’re facing right now? I want you to close your eyes, see that thing in your mind, whatever it is, no matter how dead it is to you, the Lord is asking you the same question He asked Ezekiel all those many years ago. “Can this dry, dead dream, this business idea, this disease in your body, this unsaved spouse, this wayward child, this empty bank account still live?”

Ezekiel 37:4-7, Then he said to me, “Speak to these bones for me. Tell them, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the Lord!  This is what the Lord God says to you: I will cause breath to come into you, and you will come to life!  I will put sinew and muscles on you, and I will cover you with skin. Then I will put breath in you, and you will come back to life! Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

So I spoke to the bones for the Lord, as he said. I was still speaking, when I heard the loud noise. The bones began to rattle, and bone joined together with bone!

Here’s the key, my dear weary warrior; you need a word from the Lord and you need to speak it over your situation. Then allow your spirit to hear the bones rattle as they come together for indeed, NOTHING is too hard for God. To prophesy is merely proclaiming what God says. You have His Word, begin to use it by speaking it over your body, your finances, your children, your husband, your home. Trust me when I say I’ve seen it happen over every area I just mentioned. Sometimes it happened suddenly, sometimes it happened over time, but if you keep listening, you’ll hear the bones rattle as they come together because your situation MUST respond to the Word. Everything is subject to the Word of God.

Verse 9: Then the Lord said to me, “Speak to the wind for me. Son of man, speak to the wind for me. Tell the wind that this is what the Lord God says: ‘Wind, come from every direction and breathe air into these dead bodies! Breathe into them and they will come to life again!’”

Right now I speak to the wind, come from every direction and breathe life into every dead and dormant dream, every discouraged saint, every rebellious child, every unfaithful spouse, every home in foreclosure, every dried up bank account, every body ravaged by sickness, every stressed out and burdened pastor, COME TO LIFE AGAIN! I declare this is the day for hope to arise in the hearts of believers everywhere, those who will allow Your Spirit to come in power, to fill them up to overflow onto their families, their work places, that they will go in power and demonstration into their neighborhoods and cities. I speak to every elderly person who feel they have no purpose, DECLARE THE WORD OF THE LORD! You’re not dead yet! As long as you have breath, use it to prophesy today. In Jesus name, you’ve been commissioned for purpose, now go and do it.

Sing Like You’re Alone

Lord, just singing about you makes me strong! So I’ll keep shouting for joy to Jacob’s God, my champion. Psalms 81:1 TPT

Don’t ever downplay your past. It’s only a compilation of the most beautiful song ever written. You may be in the middle of something horrible and can’t see how Gods gonna use this, but trust me, he has a plan.

Don’t allow the enemy to steal your song. Just one more note. One more word, and your song will be complete. Sing, mighty child of God! Sing from your pain! Sing from your failure! Sing with passion for a tender loving God.

Your song gets more beautiful with the deep meaning it holds for you, and when you sing it, it’s going to touch more lives than you can imagine. Sing!

What We Do Moves God

Photo by Avery Nielsen-Webb on Pexels.com

“Continue to ask, and God will give to you. Continue to search, and you will find. Continue to knock, and the door will open for you. Yes, whoever continues to ask will receive. Whoever continues to look will find. And whoever continues to knock will have the door opened for them.” Matthew 7:7-8 ERV

God is a motion sensitive God. When we move, He moves. When we seek Him, we find Him. When we give, its given back to us. When we raise our hands and praise Him, He responds by coming into our midst. That’s why they sent singers into battle first, because they knew it would evoke the presence of God and assure the victory.

And when we’re still, we know that He is God, and the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Oh Astounding God, if I stand, you’re there. When I’m asleep, You watch over me. When I move, You direct my steps. Is anything too hard for You?

So I will wait in Your presence until I’m full and spill over onto those you place around me.

You’re A Masterpiece

We have become His poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny He has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it! Ephesians 2:10 TPT

How many times has God rescued you from the stupid choices you’ve made? I don’t know about you, but I can say countless times. He doesn’t erase the results of those choices, but He adds them into the tapestry of your life, creating a lovely masterpiece.

God makes beautiful things out of horrible events if we allow ourselves to see them through His eyes. Don’t get hung up on hurdles just cause your legs are short. Jump up in the Fathers arms. Those hurdles are not big at all to Him.

He Will Bare His Arm

Let My People Go

The Lord has bared His holy arm In the sight of all the nations, So that all the ends of the earth may see The salvation of our God. Isaiah 52:10 NASB2020

I was praying this over Israel recently. That God would show Himself strong on behalf of His beloved people. It’s so important for us to continually do this because God told us to.

But not only that. He said to pray for one another so that we ourselves might be saved, healed, and delivered. It’s the law of sowing and reaping. An important principle God wants us to practice.

It’s easy to be self-absorbed. It is easy to get so focused on what we’re going through that we forget there are others going through far worse. This is simply a reminder to look away and pray.

But you will not go out in a hurry, Nor will you go as fugitives; For the Lord will go before you, And the God of Israel will be your rear guard. Isaiah 52:12 NASB2020

This is just another covenant promise to pray over Israel today. Set those captives free. Release them and let them go. May You deliver them from their enemies. In Jesus’ name and for Your glory. Amen

Make It Clear

The word, Manifest is defined as -“Readily perceived by the eye or the understanding; evident; obvious; apparent; to make clear or evident to the eye or the understanding; show plainly.”

I kept hearing this word in my spirit, so I decided to look it up to see its meaning, and this is what I found. I believe that God is manifesting His great Word to us in ways we’ve never experienced or seen before.

He’s making clear the dreams and visions that He’s given us in times past. He is also making apparent to us the things we need to be rid of, things that hinder us from going deeper with Him, and trust me, there are things about God that we have not yet scratched the surface of knowing.

Just when I begin to understand His grace, I see another part of it that leaves me stunned and weeping. Just when I think I understand his love, He shows me a new part that leaves me breathless, wanting more.

If we don’t take time now to feed on His Word and be satisfied, we will try to find other things to fill that void. Romans 1:19 ASV, “Because that which is known of God is manifest in them; for God manifested it unto them.”

Lord, may I seek Your face to know You, that You may show me more of You today. The closer I get to You, the less of me is seen.

Let’s Strategise

Strategy for Battle: I Samuel 30:8; So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”

If you’ve been a Christian for any length of time at all, you’ll know that battles are inevitable! The bible is very clear in stating that the righteous will have many battles, but the Lord will deliver us from them all. We’re not to focus on the battle as much as the Victor.

This morning, when I did a search using the words, ‘David inquired of the Lord’, it brought up 8 times. I’m sure there are others, but my point is that before battle, David always sought strategy from the Lord. He knew that going into battle without the Lord was a sure way of losing, but when he had God’s word on it, he knew he would win.

Must be nice to know God so well. Must be nice to have the confident assurance of victory every time, just as David did. Well, guess what? We can! David won because he placed his confidence in God, who is mighty in battle.

It’s not enough to just ask, “Should I go?” He asked, “Shall I overtake them?” And God answered him. God will answer when you call on Him. You just have to tune in to His voice. Just like tuning into a radio station, you hit the tuning knob until you get a better signal. Listen closely, He’s speaking clearly. You just have to get rid of all the static.

But not only did God answer what David asked, He went on to say, “Recover ALL!” So God doesn’t just want us to win over our enemies, He wants us to recover everything that’s been taken along the way. He doesn’t want us to just win the war, He wants us to be prosperous, not for our benefit, but for His. God doesn’t do anything without a strategy. He has a different plan for every battle you face, He just wants you to come to Him and receive the strategy for THIS battle. It’s obedience boot camp. Don’t do more, and don’t do less. Just do what He says.

Father, you have a plan for this battle that I’m not seeing, so I’ll stay in the planning room until I get clear instructions on not just WHAT to do, but HOW to do it. Your plans are to prosper me in every area of life, so I submit to you as Commander and Chief. Show me the plans you have for me so that I may be affective in my warfare, overtake my enemy and recover all he’s taken from me. I take back my children! I take back my marriage! I take back my health! I take back my money! I take back houses and lands! I take back relationships stolen! I take back vehicles! I take back assets stolen! I will recover all! It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

Where Truth Leads

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Revelations 3:20

So many people have lost their hope because they don’t understand what God’s up to. When things don’t turn out the way they think it should, they get discouraged and quit.

Don’t let that be you, my friend. We were never meant to know the reason. We were meant to know God and trust in Him.

As you sit with Him, and truth is revealed, you must walk in it. Each step you take leads to more truth, which leads to more steps. Eventually, you’ll end up on a landing with a door.

Open the door and find the treasure that awaits you. He’s waiting.

Live Outside The Box

Romans 12:2 GW “Don’t become like the people of this world. Instead, change the way you think. Then you will always be able to determine what God really wants—what is good, pleasing, and perfect.”

I’ve always loved the saying, ‘Think outside the box!’ Walt says I don’t just think outside the box, I live there! Well, I guess I’d rather live in a realm where there are few than in a crowded mess.

If I merely want what the world wants, all I’d have to do is follow aimlessly and just fit in, but we are admonished to be different or separate from the world.

As children of the King, we have a purpose that doesn’t fit with the purpose of the world. How do we do that? We can’t just hang around other Christians and be separate. Gods not talking about our dress or physical appearance. It’s not even keeping the big 10. No, it’s not the work we do, but the words we say that make us different from the world.

It’s not the rules but how we love that makes us unique. It’s being a giver instead of a taker. Being a part of something bigger than ourselves by finding our part in the body of Christ and acting and speaking like His sisters and brothers. It’s not our appearance or education, but what we are as someone who dares to be different and whose purpose is to make a mark on others that can’t be erased (in a good way, I hope!).

I want to use my words to bless, not curse, and encourage others to live a life of faith as well. I don’t see things like most folk, I try to gain heavens’ perspective and speak like my Father. You can’t follow me around and imitate me! That would not be good. One Sandy in the world is more than enough. You must read Gods Word and follow after Him.

There’s no shortcut to being a Christian! You simply state, ‘Jesus, I acknowledge your sacrifice for my sin and make you Lord of my life. Be my teacher, I will be your willing student. Show me how to walk and talk like You.’ Then get out the textbook, (The Bible) and begin reading. I recommend getting a translation that you can easily understand and read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John until you get the picture of who Jesus is, what He did and what He asked us to do. The more you know Him, the more like Him you’ll become.

Get ready for life outside the box! Lose your old way of thinking and speaking because in the Kingdom of God, we carry our sword (His Word) and know how to use it to change the world, one life at a time.
