Revelation 1:5b-6; To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

I Peter 2:9; But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Did you know that no one can change who you are? You will always be you! You have two donors, your father and your mother, their combined contributions created you. Doesn’t matter if you’re adopted. If your parents have passed away, you are you, and that can not be changed. What you go through and are taught, that shapes you into who you think you are, but the real you is determined by the blood that runs through your veins.

By believing in Jesus Christ and what he did for us on the cross, we become Gods very own people. His Spirit is joined with our spirit, making us a force to be reckoned with. Nothing that happens in life changes the fact that we are kings and priests in the Kingdom of God. The only thing that keeps us from operating in our full authority is that we listen to the wrong voice who deceives us into thinking we are nothing and no one. It never changes WHO we are, but it makes us ineffective and powerless to operate as we were created to.

What would happen if we took our crowns back? What would happen if we spent time with the King having our minds renewed to the truth of who we are and the authority we have? If we allowed our King to show us the treasures of His Kingdom, the riches of His glory, the creative power in our tongues? The resurrection power we possess? Would we live differently? Would we speak differently? Would we love differently? Would we do as He commanded us, to lay hands on the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons? Would we?

Father, we have believed the lie of our enemy, and it has damned us to be powerless and ineffective. We renounce the lie, and we take back the authority you gave us. We take back our rights and privileges. We have been placed in right standing with you because of Jesus and the blood He shed, so we take what is rightfully ours.

According to Ephesians 6:10, we are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. So we clothe ourselves for battle, knowing that this fight has been won. We take up the whole armor of God, that we may be able to withstand in the evil day we live in, and having done all, to stand. We take back our authority and the power of Your word to wield our sword, the sword of the spirit. We take up our shield of faith to quench every fiery dart Satan may throw our way. It’s in Jesus’ Name and the Blood that is ours to claim, Amen.

Shine On

Shine On

II Corinthians 4: 6-7 AMP “For God Who said, Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts so as [to beam forth] the Light for the illumination of the knowledge of the majesty and glory of God [as it is manifest in the Person and is revealed] in the face of Jesus Christ (the Messiah). However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.”

How do we possess that kind of light? By sitting in the presence of a mighty God and asking Him to reveal Himself to us through His Word. When we understand and use His Word, we are using the treasure in us.

Let’s not hide our treasure, but let’s declare the Word in our daily lives, over our families, our church, and our neighborhoods. We must be light. Our lamps will only burn when they are filled with the oil of the Holy Spirit. Our lights will only be seen when we turn up the flame.

The time has come to let your light shine that it may glorify our Father. Come on! Be a glow stick that every person on the face of the earth may see us burn.

Don’t Concern Yourself

No Worries

Matthew 6:31-34 GNT; “So do not start worrying: ‘Where will my food come from? or my drink? or my clothes?’ (These are the things the pagans are always concerned about.) Your Father in heaven knows that you need all these things. Instead, be concerned above everything else with the Kingdom of God and with what he requires of you, and he will provide you with all these other things. So do not worry about tomorrow; it will have enough worries of its own. There is no need to add to the troubles each day brings.”

Jesus wants us to know God as a good Father. A good father takes care of and provides for his children, and we are His children. He sent us into the world, not to be like the world, but to be love TO the world so that the world will know Him.

Just focus on doing what He said to do, He will take care of the rest. He has to. He simply can’t go back on His own word. You can toss all your cares on Him because He really does care for you.

My Hero

No, this isn’t Walt!

Zephaniah 3:17 GW, “The Lord your God is with you. He is a hero who saves you. He happily rejoices over you, renews you with his love, and celebrates over you with shouts of joy.”

When Walt kills a spider or bug for me, I always say, ‘You’re my hero!’ to which he responds with his hands on his hips, ‘Da, da, dahhhh!’ In his superhero musical voice! Always brings a smile to my face and a kiss to his lips, his reward for a valiant rescue!

That may not be super spiritual to you, but it was the first thing that came to my mind when I read this verse. When I think about God happily rejoicing over me, celebrating over me, shouting for joy, it brings a smile to my face. Wow, how often have you just needed to know someone was there for you? Someone loved you enough to rescue you?

That someone is the Lord your God. He’s your hero! I hope that makes you smile, too. I hope that as you think on that word, your mouth does what mine is doing now. I love that God loves me! Let’s go share that love today!

Extreme Climbers

The Most Valuable Climb

Matthew 5:1-2 MSG “When Jesus saw his ministry drawing huge crowds, he climbed a hillside. Those who were apprenticed to him, the committed, climbed with him. Arriving at a quiet place, he sat down and taught his climbing companions.”

Had I not read this in the Message version, I may have never seen this; the committed, climbed with him and when they arrived at a QUIET place, he sat down and taught his climbing companions.

This just confirms the importance of our quiet time with the Lord. These men risked everything to follow Jesus. They left all they knew, homes, families, jobs, friends, just to make the climb of their life. And they did it to be rewarded with one on one teaching with the Master.

I’ve had to cut off relationships, social activities, and even church events because I heard a call to come higher. That call is given to each of us daily, but our choices dictate our actions. When will enough be enough? When will you grow weary of just being like everyone else, fitting in, being accepted?

Salvation goes way beyond having our sins forgiven. Salvation has placed us back in our original state of fellowship with God. Ruling, reigning overcomer’s, who make a difference in our world, not merely existing to satisfy our flesh. If we do not plug into our energy source, Jesus, and daily charge ourselves with His glorious light, we will lose our power, our lights will grow dim and we will be ineffective to the darkness around us.

So what will it be, fellow climber? Will you shake off the lethargy of your humdrum life and enter into the extreme life of a mountain climber? It’s something we may never do in the natural, but in the Spirit realm, we can scale the slippery slopes of impossibly shear cliffs just knowing who we’re climbing with.

You’re never alone! I’m a climber too, and our ropes are linked together. Wherever two or three are gathered together, He’s right here to show us the way.

The Scary Unknown

“Don’t say that everything these people call a conspiracy is a conspiracy. Don’t fear what they fear. Don’t let it terrify you.” Isaiah 8:12 GW

There is nothing scarier than the unknown. Has God ever given you a Word, a promise, or perhaps a vision that was so far beyond your frame of reference that you couldn’t even imagine? You hesitated to even tell the closest of your friends because it sounded that incredible, yet you knew it was going to come to pass. You just couldn’t see how.

Remember Luke 1:38, after the angel had announced to Mary that she was going to get pregnant by the Holy Spirit and have the Son of God? And that her cousin Elizabeth was pregnant, and she spoke in agreement with the angel because she knew the value of agreement with God?

“Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.”

If what God has spoken over you didn’t require faith and agreement, then you would get the credit, not Him. There’s more to this then meets the eye, in fact, if you can see it in the natural, you’re not thinking big enough because the God who created the universe that keeps on growing, has a much larger point of reference then you or I combined.

God has asked many of us to step out of the boat of our comfortable life and come to Him but we’re afraid of what’s out there, what could happen. Losing our security, being ‘different’, not fitting in. We just want to live our lives, die, and go to heaven to get our reward.

THAT’S JUST NOT ENOUGH FOR US! God didn’t wire us that way! He wired us for adventure, to create, to speak life, to heal, to raise up, to proclaim. WE ARE SIMPLY NOT OF THIS WORLD.

God is just waiting for you to take the first step of obedience out of the boat. This is what He said to me yesterday; “If I called you out of the boat, I’m able to change the molecular structure of the water so you can walk on it. Is anything too difficult for me?”

If God told you to move, He will find you a better home. If He wants you to marry, He will bring a Spirt filled, godly man into your life. Until then, be content to have a love affair with the Lord.

God wants to use ordinary people like you and me to do extraordinary things. Put on your super-human cloak of righteousness, grab the sword of the Word, don’t forget the shield of Faith to quench those fiery darts of doubt and unbelief and let’s go! Clark Kent was just a reporter until he stepped out to put on his cape. You can do ALL things through Christ. Let’s do this!

The Great Exchange

God’s Enough

He was wounded for our rebellious acts. He was crushed for our sins. He was punished so that we could have peace, and we received healing from his wounds.
Isaiah 53:5 GW

An exchange happened to me last night as I lay in bed. I had been struggling with a situation in my body, trusting that the symptoms would go away. Have you ever done that?

As I lay on my side and began to speak the Word, I saw what I’m sure was Jesus after He was beaten and scourged with the whip. I knew it was Him, but it looked like a form of a man clothed in raw meat. I heard these words in my spirit, “You were never meant to carry this, give it to me.”

At first, I hesitated, unsure if I could add one more thing on Him, but aware that it wasn’t mine to keep, that I had something that was taken away a very long time ago. I began to give/release to Him everything I had going on in my body. I started going through everything seen and unseen, known and unknown, including the excess fat on my body (yes, even that!) and the steam burned hand that was keeping me awake.

I fell asleep and slept for 8 hours. I woke up rested with a distinct feeling that I’m not carrying anything anymore. Free and unencumbered.

Isaiah 53:3-5 MSG “He was looked down on and passed over, a man who suffered, who knew pain firsthand. One look at him, and people turned away. We looked down on him, thought he was scum. But the fact is, it was our pains he carried-our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us. We thought he brought it on himself, that God was punishing him for his own failures. But it was our sins that did that to him, that ripped and tore and crushed him—our sins! He took the punishment, and that made us whole. Through his bruises, we get healed.”

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve read and quoted those verses. Can’t tell you how many plays I’ve been in, movies I’ve watched that demonstrated this very act. But I get it now. The exchange is a timeless act of taking everything in my past, present, and future so I don’t have to carry it ever again.

Every emotional wound, every soul tie, every pain, pressure, or stress I will ever have, I exchange it for His peace, rest, and healing. It’s a now gift, it’s a past gift, and it’s a future gift. I ride on the wings of my Fathers endless love for me, free to do and be what He needs me to be.

Working Bees

Praise the Lord, all His angels, you mighty beings who carry out His orders and are ready to obey His spoken orders. Praise the Lord, all His armies, His servants who carry out His will. Praise the Lord, all His creatures in all the places of His empire. Praise the Lord, my soul!
Psalms 103:20‭-‬22 GW

When you speak, angels are authorized to act based on your words. Choose words of life and not death to commission your angels in your life.

I don’t think or talk about angels much, not that I don’t believe in them because I do! I just know that we are to exalt the name of the Lord, not His angels. But lately, I’ve been thinking of the role they play in Gods plan.

They are, in essence, worker bees, you know, the ones who go out and gather the pollen to make the honey. They have been trained to hear the Word of the Lord. So when we speak His Word in faith (which is the activator of the Word), they are dispatched to go after that Word.

I see this in the book of Jeremiah, where God is training him to speak what he sees. God says, “You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.”

If we have an understanding of who we are, whose we are and more importantly, the power of our words, we would be more earnest to speak more of His Word over our situations then to curse, spit, sputter and worry over them. If we actually believed that we are seated with Christ in heavenly places, then from that position of authority, we would be imitators of Christ, healing the sick, raising the dead, bringing hope to the hopeless.

I believe God has called all of us, like Jeremiah in chapter 1:10, “See, I have this day appointed you to the oversight of the nations and of the kingdoms to root out and pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”

You’re asking, “How do I do this? I’m just a simple woman/man. I have no influence over the nations or kingdoms of this earth!”

Oh yes you do! You have great influence because you have hidden treasure of His Word in your heart. When you speak in faith, in your prayer closet, over things God burdens you for, you have more influence in the earth than any casual conversation you could have with anyone.

I think the key here is to speak what God shows us to speak. We will be more effective if we focus on what He tells us to speak instead of speaking what we want. We want a lot of things, but our purpose is what Jesus’ purpose was, “to do the will of the Father that sent me.”

Whew, I think I have something to think about today. Psalm 141:3, “Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.”

When Fog Hinders

So no wonder we don’t give up. For even though our outer person gradually wears out, our inner being is renewed every single day. We view our slight, short-lived troubles in the light of eternity. We see our difficulties as the substance that produces for us an eternal, weighty glory far beyond all comparison, because we don’t focus our attention on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but the unseen realm is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16‭-‬18 TPT

We can be distracted so easily by what we see around us. Watching the news, a phone call from a friend or family. Let’s focus on what never changes. Gods Word. Let’s remember that everything Paul went through when he wrote these letters was to encourage generations of believers like you and me.

The things we go through are not for us. Allow God to work through you to encourage and build others. Leave a road map that shows others the way through it. Use what’s in you cut through the fog.

The Word is in you, even in your mouth and in your heart. Use it to bring life to others today.

God Keeps Your Secrets

For though the mountains should depart and the hills be shaken or removed, yet My love and kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace and completeness be removed, says the Lord, Who has compassion on you.
Isaiah 54:10 AMPC

The secrets of His covenant to you are safe. He’s aware of your trials. He sent them to you to prepare you for the life He’s created you to have. There’s purpose for the dark agenda you’re passing through, but the God of covenant can’t lie. You will come out more blessed than when you entered into it.

God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good? You see, I have received His command to bless Israel. He has blessed, and I cannot reverse or qualify it. Numbers 23:19‭-‬20 AMPC

Do you see it? What God has spoken He will do. What He’s promised can’t be undone. You can take it to the bank. You can rest in His arms. He holds your secrets.
