Tomorrow is Another Day

“So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.” II Corinthians 3:18 NLT

“We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” II Corinthians 3:18 The Passion Translation

So many are making New Years resolutions. Some are simple, some are severe and unrealistic. Some call for extreme changes in lifestyle or society, some commit to going to church every Sunday, losing 100 lbs, never eating sweets again, working out everyday. I can’t change yesterday; it’s over and done with, but I can declare and proclaim a better today and tomorrow.

I’m doing something different this year. I’m committing my ways to the Lord, delighting in Him each day, enjoying my life, giving my worship, continuing in the Word. Each day He has given me is a gift and I will find enjoyment in it, whether I must work or stay home.

I will find ways to encourage others and show them a love that never fails. I will not hesitate to speak the truth in love, because love never fails. I have lost friends, family, and things that were dear to me, but I will not lose my relationship with Jesus. I will praise Him when I’m up and praise Him when I’m down. I will grab hold of Fathers hand knowing He will lead me and guide me each step of the way.

I was 15 when I surrendered my life to Christ and was baptized in the Holy Spirit. That was 50 years ago and like Paul, I’ve learned that praying in the Holy Ghost builds me up in the weak areas of my life. Trust me when I say, I need to be doing it all the time! So in the year 2020, what I’ve committed to do on a daily basis will not change; what will change is me.

Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly! Psalm 37:5 TPT

Until Next Time,

What’s In You?

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. Luke 6:45

The other day, I wrote about Oily overflow and as I was thinking about that I heard the scripture above and I thought, what is overflowing out of me?

There are times where I believe we should take a serious look at how our lives affect other people. If I am full of love, love will overflow out of my speech. If I’m full of condemnation, condemnation will come out of my mouth.

You’ve heard the famous commercial, “What’s in your wallet?” I’m asking, What’s in your heart? When you enter a room, does the peace of God come with you? Does that peace remain when you leave? Or do bring drama, confusion and fear because that’s what you’re continually thinking about and meditating on?

Understand that people who are in a habit of ‘speaking their mind’ on a subject, are really speaking out of the deposits they’ve made in their heart. It could be based on what they watch on TV, what they read, the amount of time they spend on social media.

We are all a sum total of what we allow ourselves to meditate on. That’s why Paul told the Philippians to think on good things (Philippians 4:8-9) If you worry all the time, you’ll begin to speak worry and live in a perpetual state of worry. If you think on how good God is and that He’s always got your best in mind, you’ll begin to believe it and speak about it.

If you want to be known as a good man/woman, begin to change the treasure in your heart. If you wish to make a difference in the lives of people around you, allow the treasure in you to spill over onto others.

Until Tomorrow,

Personalized Power

images

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.] John 16:33 AMPC

I had to read this passage several times to let it sink in deeply; He overcame the world (deprived it of power to harm me and conquered it for me). I believe that each and every Word was spoken to me personally, so I put it in personal form when reading it. I hope you do that too, because something happens when you personalize the Word of God.

So in this passage, Jesus tells me that I’m going to have tribulation, trials, distress, that things will indeed frustrate me, Well, He was sure right about that! And if He was right about that, He is also right about the perfect peace and confidence I can have as I go through all of that.

I can be confident, certain and undaunted that because Jesus overcame the world in all of it’s craziness, that when I remain in that place of perfect peace He provided, He who took away the worlds power to harm me, is able to deliver me from anything that rises up around me.

I don’t know about you, but personalizing this gives me a greater confidence in the God in me than he who is in the world. I have the Overcomer in me! He who sent Jesus, sent His very own Spirit to live in me, so that the same power Jesus possessed, I now possess.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say, I am one with the very Spirit who was in Christ Jesus. No, I don’t say that in a haughty way, I say that in a humble sense of knowing that He is the essence of the very power Jesus walked in when He was on the earth.

Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone to know it! Colossians 1:27 TPT

It is my prayer today that you discover the heavenly treasure chest that’s embedded in you, so that you may also rest in that peace and be confident in the knowledge that He indeed deprived the world of it’s power to harm you. Victory! It’s yours and it’s mine! Now raise your shield of faith and get to moving!

Until Tomorrow,

Oily Overflow

Unknown-1

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). John 10:10 Amplified

I’ve been hearing this word in my spirit so much lately, overflow. I keep seeing a glass of water sitting in a sink and the faucet running into it, overflowing the boundaries of the container because it can’t hold anymore. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? We’ve all seen it, done it, cleaned up the spills of the thing that overflowed. Yet this spill, this overflow, it’s significant in other ways.

Do you know that what you fill yourself up with, overflows onto others? I believe that was what we were created to do, be vessels of oil that overflows. Not vessels of barely enough or just enough, but to the full, till we overflow.

You see, we serve a God of abundance and His desire is that abundance be on our lives. Not for our own pleasure and purpose, but for His pleasure and purpose. Not for me, my four and no more, but so that the world around me may be affected by this oil I carry.

Lately I’ve been seeing overflow around me coming from unsuspected containers. At the hospital when I visited a friend, I watched a housekeeper as the Holy Oil had her close the door, walk to the bed, grab my hand and my friends hand and pray down fire from heaven. Overflow.

Another friend told how he had a conversation with a young man from South Africa, sharing the love of God. As he drove away, he saw the man running after his car so he stopped and waited for him to catch up to him. The man gave him his tip back and told him, “I am here to serve you! To be a blessing to you! I will watch over your car and retrieve it for you at no cost to you as long as I am here.” Overflow.

What we fill ourselves with, overflows onto others. Don’t allow the enemy to steal your time, kill your joy and destroy your hope. If we stay full, the excess has to overflow onto others. It will overflow as healing, just as the woman with the issue of blood accessed the overflow on Jesus.

Remember that we are His bride, awaiting His return. Not inactive, dormant and ineffective, but full of the Oil of His Holy Spirit. So full that what is in us is making everyone around us Oily too. That Oil is on your husband, your children, your finances, your body and everything else you come into contact with.

Until Tomorrow, Stay Oily,

Sandy G

God’s Not Illusive

Unknown-1

“While he was saying all this, I looked at the ground and said nothing. Then I was surprised by something like a human hand that touched my lips. I opened my mouth and started talking to the messenger: ‘When I saw you, master, I was terror-stricken. My knees turned to water. I couldn’t move. How can I, a lowly servant, speak to you, my master? I’m paralyzed. I can hardly breathe!’

“Then this humanlike figure touched me again and gave me strength. He said, ‘Don’t be afraid, friend. Peace. Everything is going to be all right. Take courage. Be strong.’

“Even as he spoke, courage surged up within me. I said, ‘Go ahead, let my master speak. You’ve given me courage.’” Daniel 10:15-19 Message Bible

As I was reading this there were two things that struck me; 1. His touch brought strength and 2. He called Daniel friend. I don’t know that I’ve ever experienced this type of intimacy and friendship with the Spirit of God before, but I can tell you it’s way up there on my bucket list.

If you look on Daniels life, you will see that he prioritized the Word and prayer more than anything else. He wasn’t concerned with wealth, fame, acceptance or anything this world had to offer. He was only determined to know God.

The Bible is very clear that those who seek Him with their whole heart will find Him. It wasn’t just for those of times past, it’s for us now. ANYONE. He didn’t exclude you. If you prioritize what’s valuable to God, you will find Him in every area of your life.  His favor will be on your life and He will provide answers to your questions. He’s not illusive, He’s tangible. Reach out and touch Him today.

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G

Expectation + God = Realization

Unknown-1

Galatians 6:9, And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

If you’re not expecting anything, don’t be surprised that nothing shows up. But when you place your hope and confidence in God and expect His Word to manifest, be assured, He is faithful who promised.

There are those reading this who have been expecting things promised for a long time. Listen to what I’m saying to you; DON’T QUIT NOW! I am telling you, PLEASE, don’t be discouraged and don’t quit. Keep standing! Keep trusting! God is faithful! Someone has watched you standing, trusting, hoping and believing. Your victory over what you face is so close, you should feel the breeze of it on your face as angels have been released to bring it.

Remember, Daniel fasted and prayed for 40 days, but angels were released the first day. There was a battle in the heavenly realm just trying to hold it back but help came. That’s what’s going on. God’s already released your answer. Your healing has been provided. Your lack was handled. Keep your eyes on Him because HE will bring it to pass.

I know it’s dark and you can’t see your way out right now, but hang on, the light is about to come into your situation and it’s about to get bright again. Remember that when God said, “Let there be light,” there was light! Everything that is contrary to His Word must bow in defeat. Search for your promise and hang on for dear life! Help is on the way.

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G

God Thought of Everything

images

It is the Lord‘s blessing that makes you wealthy. Hard work can make you no richer. Proverbs 10:22 GNT

We can work hard our whole life and lose everything in a day. One bad decision, wrong investment, diagnosis or the like could happen to any of us. I guess what I’m trying to say is this; Our work doesn’t determine God’s blessing.

When the Lord releases a blessing over our lives, it’s not because of the work we’ve done. We can’t make that happen. His blessing is based on what Jesus did, not what we did. He put us in right standing with God because of the blood He shed, not the hard work we’ve done.

“For it was only through this wonderful grace that we believed in him. Nothing we did could ever earn this salvation, for it was the gracious gift from God that brought us to Christ!  So no one will ever be able to boast, for salvation is never a reward for good works or human striving.” Ephesians 2:8-9 TPT

God didn’t just save us from sin. No! If He had only saved us from sin, it would have been enough to serve Him all the days of our lives. But my dear friends, it was a bargain deal and included everything! He saved us from our past sins, our present sins and any future sins. He saved me from disease, sickness, poverty, mental illness, demonic oppression, depression, debt and everything not listed here. We serve such an all knowing, all powerful God, that He even saved me from things I haven’t thought of.

Thank You Lord for the reminder that You thought of everything. You made provision for everything we would ever have need of and it was enough. When Jesus said those words on the cross, “It is finished!” that was it. Nothing more needed to be done. He never said, “Oh wait, You forgot something!” No, You thought of it all and the moment You said it, it was complete. THANK YOU LORD!

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G

What Word Is This?

Unknown-1

“This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer and Creator: “I am the Lord, who made all things. I alone stretched out the heavens. Who was with me when I made the earth? I expose the false prophets as liars and make fools of fortune-tellers. I cause the wise to give bad advice, thus proving them to be fools. But I carry out the predictions of my prophets! By them I say to Jerusalem, ‘People will live here again,’ and to the towns of Judah, ‘You will be rebuilt; I will restore all your ruins!’ When I speak to the rivers and say, ‘Dry up!’ they will be dry.” Isaiah 44:24-28 NLT

Do you see how God does it? He speaks and knows it will happen. Thats what He wants of us. He wants us to wisely speak and declare that those things which are not, will be. He said if we don’t doubt in our heart but believe that those things we say will come to pass, we will have what we say.

Stop saying what you have, and begin declaring what your end result will be as though it already is. It may be foolishness to the world, but hey, our God is like that. It’s a backward Kingdom!

Money can’t buy this! It can’t be about the good things you do ‘lest any man should boast’. It’s about your words. The enemy is after every word you speak because he knows the power of your words.

This is my gift to you this Christmas. If you will put a watch-guard over your mouth and begin speaking as God speaks, believing for God sized things, trusting in His Word and the power of the redemptive blood of Christ, NOTHING will be impossible to them who believe. Its time to walk as sons, prophets and priests. May the gift of Gods Word bring you to places you’ve never gone before.

Love you my friends.

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G

No Day Off For Jesus

images

Look for the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near.  Let the sinful turn from his way, and the one who does not know God turn from his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and He will have loving-pity on him. Let him turn to our God, for He will for sure forgive all his sins. Isaiah 55:6-7 NLV

I wasn’t going to post today because it’s Christmas Eve and I wanted the day off. But as I began thinking of all He’s done for me, I had to grab my laptop and type this out so that others can remember as well. There is no ‘day off’ in the Kingdom. He simply never stops working on our behalf.

He is our Liberator, the one who set us free from the law we could not keep. He’s our Hero, saving us from sin and death. He’s our Salvation, the rock on which we stand. He’s our Defender against evil accusations. He’s our Guardian, always watching over over us. He’s our Protector, as a shepherd watches over the sheep and keeps the wolves away. He’s our Conservator, repairing the broken and doing maintenance on us. He’s our Deliverer, turning back over to us the authority Adam had forfeited long ago. He’s our Rescuer, freeing us from confinement, violence, danger, and evil.

God had a plan from the beginning and centuries later, we are smack dab in the center of that plan. There’s no detail He’s overlooked. No plan or scheme the enemy could surprise Him with or catch Him off guard. You may not understand it all, but you weren’t meant to.  Leave the details to Him and trust Him.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not trust in your own understanding. Agree with Him in all your ways, and He will make your paths straight.

From our house to yours, Merry Christmas and may God bless you and keep you and use you for His glory today.

Until Tomorrow,

Sandy G

Teach Them to Give

images

Since this is Christmas week, I thought I’d share a memory that our girls remember vividly even though they were very young. In fact when Shannon was visiting last month, we talked about this story.

Walt had been out of work for 3 years in the early 80’s and we were trying to dig our way out. He had landed a job although it didn’t pay much, we were thankful. It was Christmas time and our church had a tree with names of children we could ‘adopt’ and buy gifts for. The last three Christmas’s, we had been adopted and our children received some pretty amazing things, so we wanted to pay it forward.

That year, Cabbage Patch dolls were all the rage and our girls wanted one in the worst way. I decided to make it a teaching moment and shared with them the law of sowing and reaping that Jesus taught. When you plant a seed, it grows and gives more then you planted. I explained how we would sow a seed of a doll in two little girls who wouldn’t have a Christmas that year and watch and see what God would do for them.

The next day, I went to the store and found two dolls that were an off brand of the real deal. They looked very similar, but was a fraction of the price. I remember praising God that I had enough to buy them. As I sat wrapping the boxes, both the girls watched and expressed the desire to keep them. I explained again that this was our seed and that we would just believe that God would see their seed and they would get what they were asking for.

My faith wasn’t even as big as what I saw come to pass on Christmas morning. They didn’t just get one Cabbage Patch, they both got three each! How exciting to see how God showed two little girls that He hears, He sees and He gives. He doesn’t just give according to what we give, He gives abundantly, to the full, till it overflows.

Merry Christmas to you all!

Sandy G
