Permanently

“This is my promise  to them,” says the Lord. “My Spirit, who is on you, and my words that I put in your mouth will not leave you. They will be with your children and your grandchildren permanently,” says the Lord. Isaiah 59:21 GW

This word is for those of you who have children and grandchildren who have wandered far from the truth they were raised with. For the mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, grandmothers and grandfathers who have faithfully stood in the gap and prayed. It’s an unbreakable promise made by a living and powerful God. It can’t be revoked. It’s permanent.

His Spirit is in you and on you. His words have been placed in your mouth and your heart. They can’t leave you. Ever. It’s engraved deeply into what appears to be a heart of stone. Don’t become weary in your praying and crying out. He hears you.

Don’t be discouraged by what you see; be encouraged by what you know. Don’t let those words be erased by naysayers. Don’t allow guilt and condemnation to deter you from the truth that is written. It may be a long time coming but it will come. You may not see it in your day, but God holds fast to what’s been spoken and He will not break His promises.

And if all is well with you and yours, pray strength into those around you who are still fighting their battle. Pray that the strength of the Lord upholds them. Encourage them. And when they come to you battle-weary and heavy laden, may they find in you a reminder that God’s not finished because what He said is permanent.
