He Will Make A Door

a

I recently read an article about a woman who was traveling, facing a very long line in customs, she told the Lord, “I really don’t want to stand in line for 45 minutes! I’m tired and I just want to go rest.” Just then, a woman approached her, asked for her declaration paper, drew a red line through it and pointed her toward a door she hadn’t noticed before. When she went through the door, she found herself in the main terminal, totally bypassing the long lines of customs. Wow! If you’ve ever had to wait in customs, you will understand what a miracle that was.

Isaiah 42:16 came to my mind; I will bring the blind by a way they did not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, and not forsake them.

When she returned to that airport, she headed for the door she had previously taken but it wasn’t there. After complaining to the Lord for a few minutes and going to stand at the end of the long line, a man walked up to her and another woman and directed them through another door that was straight in front of them. She again found herself in the main terminal.

Here’s what I heard the Lord speak to me this morning; “Don’t look for me to move the same way because that’s not my style. If you continue to look for the method of deliverance instead of the Deliverer, you will be very disappointed.  I am the way. If you follow me, I’ll show you the way to go. I am the truth. If you listen to me, you’ll be free. I am the life. Things alive keep changing and moving, they’re never still. If you stay in me, you’ll always be alive.”

Sometimes we wear ourselves out by trying to stay one step ahead of the game instead of following the game changer. Listen my friend, God knows what you’re facing but you’ll never face it alone. In fact, he is always standing between you and what’s ahead of you. Don’t put yourself in a position you don’t belong in. There’s an old song by Don Moen my mom sings that goes like this; “God will make a way where there seems to be no way. He works in ways we cannot see, he will make a way for me. He will be my guide, hold me closely to his side. With love and strength for each new day, He will make a way, He will make a way.”

Father, thank you for your constant hand on my lives. You never lose sight of me. You’re always close by, like any parent that watches over their children as they play. Protected. Kept. Provided for. You’re all that and more.  Thank you for reminding me again this morning just how much I mean to you. You will not allow the waves to swallow me up or overwhelm me because you control the waves and your hand is ever on my life. Just because I don’t see the door, doesn’t mean it’s not there. If you have to, you’ll make a door for me and I’ll walk through it to my miracle.  I give you all the praise in Jesus’ Name. Amen
