Isaiah 65:23-24 NLT; They will not work in vain, and their children will not be doomed to misfortune. For they are people blessed by the Lord, and their children, too, will be blessed. I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!
I opened my bible this morning and found this verse I had underlined years ago. What a wonderful promise of blessing from the Lord. He will indeed answer us before we even call on him and while we’re still talking about our need, He will go ahead and answer our prayers. I believe that is the season we are in. The time when we stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.
These verses from Amos 9:13-15 came to my mind when I read this; The Lord says, “A time of great blessing is coming. Workers will still be harvesting when it is time to plow the fields again. They will still be trampling the grapes when it is time for a new crop. Sweet wine will drip from the mountains and pour from the hills. I will bring my people, Israel, back from captivity. They will rebuild the ruined cities, and they will live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink the wine they produce. They will plant gardens and eat the crops they produce. I will plant my people on their land, and never again will they be pulled up out of the land that I gave them.” This is what the Lord your God said.
There are so many losing homes to foreclosure-this is for you. There are those who have lost their jobs-this is for you. You have given to the Lord and he has seen your seed now it’s harvest time! You must allow the harvesters to clear the field before you can plant again. Sometimes we get into a giving mode and we don’t allow the blessings to come on us but the Lord said he would open the windows of heaven and pour us out a blessing we don’t have room to contain (Malachi 3:10). It’s harvest time.
II Chronicles 20:17 is for someone out there this morning. It says, “You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.” It is time to let the Lord do what only he can do. He has this. Position yourself for victory. Position yourself for blessing. Continue to seek his face, follow his direction, he wants to bless you.
Father, thank you for hearing us while we are only thinking about our need. Thank you for taking care of us, protecting us, keeping us. We worship you this morning with our hands and hearts raised to you. Great lover of our soul. You never sleep, your Word is alive and active, you sent it to heal and deliver us. We are grateful. We your people give you what you long for, our praise, our worship, our adoration. We thank you that every problem we face, you face with us. You give us wisdom in every situation we encounter. May you receive all the glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
